Please restate your question. As I am not sure what you meant now.

 

Right now the contest has not started and the 2 week practice round is underway. Its not mandatory and the goal is to get people familiar with the idea of remixing. Here is the info from the main post:

Last year you said that this track

didn't have any relation to the original.

But i firmly believed it did,

So i would like to know, at what point is a track to remixed that it no longer has any relation to the original.So i don't do it again

The main reason is that it was not made from the codes given, which that in itself is the strongest relation and not using it puts a huge damper on potential success. However, friend I gave you the benefit of the doubt in saying it was an altered remake of the track, which other than the 1st ramp and ramp to the left, it does not look as such. That being said it was strongly lacking in relation or influence from the original. I admire you taking a risk, but it became a bit too complicated to do well. In hindsight, I would raise the grade I gave but I stand by my original reasoning.

For this time around, I strongly recommend using the codes provided as a base for your track, as that would lead to more probable success.

Alright guys I made a quick example using the code from the practice round: Camp PSST by pssst. Way below the standard at which I expect people to compete, but enough for the practice round and to show people what remixing is about. I can't wait to see tracks from people who take part in the practice round.

 

I was working on my practice round for over an hour and it was looking so sweet but I pressed backspace and the screen changed to a track and now I lost all of my progress. I hate to online editor.

 

Damn dude that sucks. I hate when that happens because it's usually a huge motivation killer. I've gotten to the point where I use the offline editor and/or save regularly. But it still irks me when I lose something sweet. But look at it this way, when you feel like working on it again, you can try to outdo yourself; that's helped motivate me in the past under the same circumstance.

 

It's tough to outdo what I did, but thanks and was even about to show it to you for your opinion.
