I can't really explain it, but sometimes I suddenly die for no reason, like getting crushed to the ground. Doing the same thing again has no effect, but sometime the same thing will cause you to die. It happens so fast that I couldn't even say what happened. For that, you would probably think I'm mad. But believe me a lot of times(okay, not that much) I die this way. A similar thing also happens when landing from great heights. Can the player not survive from falling damage? It seems falling from height has severe effects while landing.
We believe you! It happens, Free Rider has some pretty whacky physics and it is possible, with enough speed, to go through lines. Maybe we need to add a parachute?
Please no parachute. Please. Leave the game as is it, interesting, hard sometimes. If you want to add some features like custom hats or so, I don't mind, but don't put some parachutes, some extra boost, etc. Let the gameplay live. OR, make different section such that player that use parachute doesn't get its ghost saved. Don't know.
There won't be a parachute, don't worry We are very aware of what makes the core game mechanic fun and won't be interfering with that. Any future additions to the game will be well thought out.
The physics are pretty strange, but you get used to them after you play for a little while. Also, sometimes the way you land makes you die on certain tracks, maybe tilt your bike or use the brake to help you when you fall from heights.
Holding brake or landing on the back wheel helps in most large falls. It is sometimes unavoidable though. I actually support a parachute or hang-glider, but not on all tracks. Maybe, something that could be enabled by the maker.
I wasn't actually requesting or preferring a parachute or something. And I believe the devs won't do that.
I figured out that the reason for the player to be sucked into the ground is because of misplaced lines beneath the wheels. If a line is just slightly off of the line adjacent to it, if the player rides quickly over those 2 lines, the wheels get sucked under. That's just from my experience.. It could be a completely different reason for all I know. Oh Free Rider physics. How I love thee.
And I still don't know why people say CoD is bad. People hate CoD (now), it's absolutely right, but not because of logic, but because every CoD game is the same as it's predecessor. Tf2 is very popular, but there Scouts can DOUBLE JUMP which not possible IRL, no logical explanation, but the game is still praised at places... I've seen many people hating CoD, when they didn't even tried the game. See "Xbox 360" under this article, it shows that CoD: Black Ops has been sold 12 million copies making #1 and Modern Warfare is #3. I'm not a CoD fanboy, but I don't think it is THAT bad.
i played black ops on zombies and everything else the game is just too unrealistic when the developers say it's realistic
I don't know if the devs themselves said that it was realistic, it's not, many games aren't, but some of the things are too complex to do and some aren't done for fun, like you can't literally jump form a building and land on a hay-shack without injuries like the assassins can do in Assassin's Creed. If CoD really were relaistic, it would have replaced Counter-Strike.
