I understand your point, but I am still unsatisfied. Personally, I do not care about how many likes my tracks get. I would rather have the respect of my peers.

Free Rider has never been about how many "plays" or "likes" you have until now. In the old days, tracks were made for personal satisfaction, and the admiration of the members of the community. Can't you see why an obsession with exposure has created the problem? This problem did not exist back then, with the exception of Trackmill. And who dominated the front page there? iTzChuckNorris.

wagon probably not subs, because subs aren't really peers. I'm pretty sure he means respect from the members of the forum and/or good track makers.

You have quite a bit of multis too, including a few on this site. Be worried about char checking your activity.

Apologize for being mia, was on a camping trip.

Firstly, as this forum grows, it is starting to take more and more time to filter through all of the posts and mentions I get on a daily basis. I got back to 20 new pms and 60 alerts.
So if you start seeing me less, its because Im actively the developing the game, and what we have planned for it. Obviously my time costs money so it is in the best insterest of Kano that I put more of my time into the game itself rather than the forum. We do need more moderators , but that is to be discussed at a later date on a different thread.

Multiple Account Issue.
We don't care about having multiple accounts when it comes to uploading or using it for things of that nature. The issue really stems from voting, and gaming the voting system to influence votes.

Now, lets address iTz points.

The main reason we chose to do the thumbs up thumbs down is due to simplicity, and that people are more likely to vote on that type of system. The average person isn't very good at deciding where on a 5 star scale something lays. We are going on the reddit/youtube based rating. I do get that you could analyze tracks further and give them a different / more complex voting system, it's just not very realistic when it comes to people using mobile and may lead to even less voting. This would make voting worth more due to the fact that less people would be part of the average. Something does need to be done, we're just not sure what at the moment.

Yeah, this is something we want to do. It would probably tie into having the ability to post private tracks. I think this will be something coming soon, as it is one of the biggest requests I get.

Yeah I don't see a massive problem with trending, as it does make a good representation of the latest tracks posted. I would like to see one more section based on official authors. Im not sure what the plan is for that.

We have thought about doing weekly track challenges. I think it came down to how those tracks would be picked. We will have to discuss this.

Yeah, this is something we have wanted to do. It's not priority. It would add some variety to the thumbs.

Yeah, this would be ideal. I think the main issue is now you have to create a system where authors "Approve" collaborations. It ends up being a bigger feature than expected. I would also like this tho. Its just about building it out.

i think its a big douche move downvoting other tracks to push yours, i liked all of the other top rated tracks along with mine, i always promote tracks that i think are worth promoting
