Just give this a feature already

 

I'm a bit underwhelmed with this track to be honest. All of the track and detail looks rushed and really doesn't seem to be a year's worth of work to me, based on what I see it could've been made in less than a month. To be more specific the track doesn't flow very well, where if its ridden too perfect it messes up and where some of the track is interesting, most of it seems boring and uninspired. With the detail, I see about the same thing, a lot of interesting highlights but it generally looks rushed.

I'm unsure if it should be featured to be honest. It might be a difference on whether your judging detail per length, track per length or length itself, but I'd say no.

 

tbh other then the fact that it is a year in the making there is nothing special about this track. I mean that in no offence to Max but this track is rushed and sloppy in multiple places. Tbh i played it until i got 3 of the stars and got bored because one, there was so much sloppyness in some parts that i didnt care to look at it and second because the ride was no different then the ride in all of your other tracks. Believe me im sure it was hard to stay with a track for a year. (I end up hating a track after half of one) But this track was not as special as I expected and tbh I dont quite agree with the feature. And the fact that it was featured without any discussion at all (Ness I believe just featured it) makes me kinda mad. This track is nothing more then 6 of your tracks crammed together. I have to say I was very disappointed.

 

I didn't even notice this. I'm disappointed now too. It's almost like you get a special pass for being a feature mod.

Its an opinion shared by several, and an opinion can't be wrong. The only thing that was wrong was featuring it without discussion.

YES! That track lowers the quality of the entire page, but of course, it was another example of feature without discussion.

 

There are some good aspects of it such as the octopus. But the fish and clouds seem half finished. The Simplicity of the track is what makes it seem kind of plain and somewhat boring. But looking at the size of it is what gives players a feeling of excitement and thrill.

 

imo things like this dont belong in a featured track but seeing how max and you have similar styles ness I could see how you would break the rules to feature one of your own's tracks

The detail is out of the question, its terrible throughout. I genuinely do not believe this took a year to make. I first saw max talk about the track a month ago and thats when I believe he started, saying it took a year was probably his method of hyping.

 

One year in the making may bee hitting the sight soon almost 1k

pssst and xwinx, take a second to look at the track as a whole. it's 20 minutes of a straight through ride by my count. essentially six tracks in one. there was a trade off for dense detail for quantity, and I think that might be what's throwing you guys off. it's sparse rather than compact like a lot of tracks nowadays. but what that detracts for detail (it doesn't detract much, no matter what screenshots you might show, they don't show the full picture), it gives so much for the track. there's 20 minutes of a sweet ride. each of the six paths gave a unique style of track. I can understand that it's hard to see the grand scale of this, but taking a ride through this for over an hour, it's plain to see. it might not be fun for you (which surprises me, I had a blast), but the originality of the ride is a beauty to be seen. leagues better than other efforts such as caesium and termite's nest. endurance is a quality that should be looked at, not overlooked.

and when you say that he has a similar style to me, be aware that the only resemblance is neatness of his detail. it's not scraggly brush lines and there's no shading. there's no unnecessary line usage, and yet the character count ends up at 1.2m. obviously character count isn't everything, that might help you put the scale of this track into perspective. and yeah, the end result might not be flawless, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts here, and the sum is incredible on its own. it's 20 minutes of track, 20 minutes of consistent and defined detail, 20 minutes of original themes and new ideas and awesome fun and interesting stories and a personable cartoony style.

it's up for debate if this was a year well spent, but there is no doubt that this is worth a feature. a feature isn't calling this the best track of all time or saying it was the best it could be, it simply compares this track to the rest of the DB. and this track is simply far better than the standard the mods have set. if the standards should be higher is a different argument, one that is constantly raging and tbh is a tired argument. if this isn't worth a feature in your eyes, I have a hard time believing that you have them open.

 

change your tune a little bit? the detail was halfassed ness and if you cant see that then i will send "full pictures" because it stuck out to me when playing the track and dont you ever tell me I'm wrong without a strong argument first again.

 

I made it in 28:43.03 minutes. Failed very often, but 20 minutes is hard

First off it clearly didnt take a year, that is a complete lie. Second, theres nothing new here. Third, saying "but length" doesnt erase the fact that the track and detail is bad. I find this track to be similiar to surpreme delight, really long, but its still bad.
