Can the red dot in the track editor be removed? It isn't accurate, the mouse cursor is. The red dot just gets in the way of the cursor.

I personally like the red dot :) It pairs well with my cursor and gives me a better idea of where I am going with my line. Also I am just used to it now and it would be weird to change it :p I can understand how you would want to get rid of it though ;) Just sayin' I like it

Well I can't use it, it doesn't match up with where I'm placing the line. I'll go to place a line using the red dot and the line appears above or below where I put it. The cursor is what sets the line, the red dot is supposed to aid you but it does the opposite for me.

Yea I can understand if you are having that problem, however it works perfectly for me! I can always tell where my line is going to be based off of that lil red dot :)

I envy you, it'd be a nice tool if it worked. We really could just use a toggle for it and set it to default.

Would you mind taking a screenshot of what you see when the red dot is there?

I don't entirely know what you mean by "when the red dot is there", but here is 3 screenshots of me making a line:

And yes, I totally agree with the OP. The red dot in quite inaccurate.
      Don't remove, but improve it.

it's inaccurate because there's a very very very small invisible grid that the lines and powerups etc snap to when placed on a track. The red dot doesn't snap to this grid but when a line is drawn the line snaps to the grid so it looks like the line has moved.

I could see that ^ however for me personally the red dot always draws in the same spot. So I have no problem with it

I find it pretty accurate in Windows 8 and Mozilla firefox.
