FREEZ I'm also confused on how this style would make the other tracks harder to earn coins?

It wouldn't be mandatory, you could choose to upload a new track with this method. Old tracks would keep their ghosts and people could still upload normal tracks.

oh ok. I wouldnt post tracks this way but the option is ok i guess. what ever the mods decide : )

I was thinking of this idea, where instead of just playing through a track and collecting all the stars, it would be a "collect as many stars as possible" thing.
Like, they could be trials where you had to collect as many stars as you possibly could before hitting the "end star", which would submit your score of how many stars you collected. They could have little to no checkpoints, and to get each star, you have to complete a challenge. This could be set aside for special campaigns or just a freely usable score style for all track uploads.
It wouldn't save your time at all, just how many stars you collected.
Thoughts?
