This Should Be Featured

I feel that my latest track should be at least considered for a feature.

I agree, but I'm sure of two things:
A: they've probably already discussed it and B: asking for your own track to be featured isn't the way to get it featured

 

Nah its been out for two days now and Eli said that they have been laying back on features lately.

Nah we've actually started discussing again. Done like 3 tracks in the last couple days. Yours is in talk but it's not looking good sorry and please don't suggest your own.

I would say that your rocks are good, your fencing and your trees are well shaped, the deciduous ones anyway. Some areas were certainly well done apposed to others which weren't that well done at all (i.e. some of the total greying like the water). I think you've got some good in you, continue what you're doing. maybe start shading the stuff differently and I'm sure you'll get somewhere. It's definitely good though man, I +1'ed

 

I'm inclined to agree with coolman, even though suggesting your own tracks for feature is a pompous douche move unless it's absolutely black & white (no pun intended). This track is pretty good, it's finished, it's lengthy compared to some of the featured tracks, etc. It has my vote.

What trees looked good? And what area DoD you think was well done?

 

It's a really good track.

But I have some problems with it.
1. Some places of the track feel empty
2. Tree grey detail somewhat inconsistent between the left side (Back of rider) of where you start and the right side (Forward of rider) of where you start.
3. That unfinished area toward the far left side of the water (you should have finished that area, looks unfinished)
4. Water inconsistencies, (If you zoomed up enough on the left, it looks good, like there's movement going on. And then you get further right... and it unfortunately becomes worse up close until you reach the wave crashing against the ship).

But that's just me being all picky. Anyway I actually loved your broken wiring and just the sheer amount of effort in shading that you put into it. You should have focused on detailing those rocks a little more just so that it looks more finished. The ship is awesome BTW .

Do I find it feature worthy: Yes I do despite all of the problems I had with it. The featured track team staff has set the bar to high for most authors to even reach. The way it was before on the shut down website was better tbh.

Those are just my opinions on the matter. Every track has a flaw, no matter how big or small. You have a LOT of potential and I am really looking forward to what you come up with in the future.

 

No offence to anyone, but how does Coolman's track not get featured, and this one does ?

Dude, it's like the cleanest abstract track Iv'e ever seen. Coolman's track is still being debated upon.

I've seen better details, i mean it's clean, but poorly detailed
just look at the size of the track...

Just because it's not huge and highly detailed doesn't mean that it shouldn't be featured.

the trunk and stems of those trees were spammed with grey lines, and like FOIL, said the water had inconsistence. i dont see why this should be featured
