Im sayin that adventure maps are more fun than survival. And that they are more fun to make than survival.
dont say that MC is bad just cause you have played the worst aspect of it.

 

That means you agree that survival is bad? And it is the main game mode (currently, Creative mode which was the good thing is not so much focused anymore). And since when was MC all about adventure maps?

 

I honestly highly prefer survival over creative, the guy you linked is just ranting and expects too much.

 

No, survival is not bad, but adventure maps is better. and Yes they are not the main thing, but they are still the best part

Survival is not even survival. You should just read the post, he does has many valid points. He doesn't expect "too" much, some of these are very basic ones. I don't think expecting a tutorial and a nice learning curve is "too much". I like survival in games, but due to the bad survival design, I prefer creative mode because that's what Minecraft succeeds at.

He is not comparing Survival and Adventure maps. Adventure maps may be better, but that doesn't make Survival good though. Survival is still a major part of the game, comprising nearly half of the game.

GET THE OPTIFINE MOD! It speeds it up like crap! and also turn smooth lighting of and fog & clouds off. It does wonders

 

That brings up, Minecraft is poorly optimized. (All of these are for PC version, not 360)

I'm talking about Minecraft, not Minemods. I'm criticizing Minecraft itself, mods aren't part of the game. A game is judged on what it is, not additional substances. It's like if you're lazy, you cannot say that you have friend who does the work for you. It cannot counter the fact that you're lazy. Similarly, a mod that optimizes the game doesn't make the fact that MC is poorly optimized wrong. What type of computers do you think you shall have to run Minecraft? Some super computer made by NASA? For a game like Minecraft, it's very probable to run on a basic computer. Thanks for bringing up Optifine, the existence of it clearly proves the fact that Minecraft could have been optimized better.
