Alright, been working hard to get this out. Free Rider HD Offline Editor This will allow you guys to edit tracks without an internet connection. Google Chrome is required. For those who want the Offline Editor. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...faadaknkiipcclifcbn?hl=en-US&gl=CA&authuser=3 If you can't access / download the editor, I might be able to give you the .crx file to install upon request. Still making updates / uploading screenshots etc. Here is a snapshot of what it looks like. Language is subject to change. All editor functionality will be available, except for publishing. PS: Show us some support and rate the app in the chrome store https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...-edi/kffmoglgaljfcfaadaknkiipcclifcbn/reviews - Char
its dope, makes my laptop run slow but that's just my laptop i have an idea tho, when you press crtl + n you should be able to make a new track
This is a great idea. I can now work on tracks wherever I go One issue though: Can you add an option to disable the sound effects? I've never played with it due to its kiddy sounds.

Actually, now that I've begun to use it, I've concluded that this feature is unpolished, and that is not a good thing. Undo key deletes multiple steps at a time, and it's random Pressing Shift + Scroll on the Eraser, whether up or down, only seems to decrease its size. Snap Toggling: Sometimes I have had to hold the Alt key, and sometimes the Shift key. The Advanced Settings does not save at all. The Grid Lines do not sync with the initial starting position. There should be an option to disable the advertising bar at the bottom. It's annoying as. Anyways, enough with the baddies. Can you release this editor as a standalone program? Would be cool if I can open this via Steam and show it off to my Steam friends, that way I can promote/advertise the game to them. Win win! As a follow up from the previous suggestion, maybe you could make this editor as a free program on Steam, so more people will get their hands on, instead of having us voluntary loyal minions leading them to a website in which they'll probably think "meh, just another flash game"
Char looks awesome! All these editor updates have been awesome. One thing though, one request that I'm sure lots of others will back me up with. Can you add selecting, copying and pasting to the editor? That's my only request.
Hey Pityboy , thanks for the feedback! I'll try to cover all your concerns. 1. I don't believe this has been reported before and I have not been able to reproduce this. Has this occurred in our regular editor or only in our offline app? There is a difference when using our brush tool compared to a single line tool if that is what you are referring to? 2. We have been made aware of this issue and are looking into it. Last time I checked this only occurs in Opera and Chrome which of course is the base of the offline editor. If you really need this feature you may want to use a different browser for the time being. 3. Another issue which I don't think has been reported or recreated. This is set to the alt key and always should be. Again, are you finding this in our normal editor or only offline? 4. This is something we hope to add in the future but our devs currently have their hands very full. 5. I'm not sure what you mean by this? Are you saying the starting line does not fit the grid? Do you want the thick grid lines to be moved down to the starting line's position? 6. Thanks for the input, we'll consider the option In terms of launching the game through steam, when you added it to Chrome it became a program on your computer like any other. As such you should be able to search for it, launch it, and even pin it to your taskbar or start menu (I'm just assuming you are windows) for quick access. Similarly you can add it to Steam. Start Steam and make sure that you are in the "Library" tab. In the main menu at the top of the screen click "Games" and in the menu that appears click "Add a non-Steam game to my library". The "Add a Game" window will appear and it will build a list of programs on your computer that can be added to Steam including our offline editor. Let us know if you come across any further bugs or have any ideas to help improve the editor Edit; Char has corrected me on issue #3, this changes to shift when using our right click to move feature
