    Hey guys,
Yesterday , we pushed out some new changes to the track creator. First off, the tool selection is highlighted now, and provides betters feedback as to what tool you are currently on. Secondly the Eraser and Curved line tool now have set different sizes ( S , M , L )
This should help those who want more control over their tools. Please provide feedback!

    Eraser ( Radius )
    Small - 2px
    Medium - 5px
    Large - 10px

    Curved Line (
    Break Point )
    Small - 5px
    Medium - 10px
    Large - 30px

    Small

    Large

    EDIT (new feature)
    Snap To Preview

We just added a feature that allows for much easier line placement. Snap to preview line. This will show you where your line will be place upon click.

    Try it out.

Nice. I think we really needed this. Still though, the canvas rider editor allowed you to change the size of the eraser by holding 'e' and scrolling. Same with curved lines by holding 'a' and scrolling. It was 's' and scrolling to change scenery curves. This allowed for a much larger range of sizes and it was also a lot easier to change them. There's just too much clicking in this editor. Few other things that I think need to change (and others have mentioned):
-to be able to zoom in farther
-to be able to preview line without holding down click (CR was just hold down 'q' (line tool) instead of shift+click)
Snapping tool is nice but you still have to hold down click which is inconvenient because if you let go you make a line
-separate key binds for curved and straight line tool
-to zoom in and out based on cursor position (zoom in to and out from cursor as if it were the center of the screen)

That's just my honest opinion. There's still some things I like about FRHD editor a lot more like the powerup angles, grid and snapping. It's just very different and will take some getting used to I guess. I have been using the Canvas Rider Offline Editor, though. That's what I used to make my campaign track entry. Overall the FRHD editor is better, it just needs some vital adjustments in my opinion.

I agree with everything he just said ^^ DOn't want to be overwhelming but these changes would make the editor much better :)

Are these ordered in priority? If no could you?

    1. increased Zoom In/Out in creator
    2. shortcuts without shift+click
    3. separate key binds for curved / straight tool
    4. zoom in / out on cursor instead of center
    5. changing line / eraser size with wheel mouse + key
    6. basically key shortcuts for everything :)

One thing that we have to take into consideration for FRHD is building tracks on tablets which will not have the benefit of shortcuts so there will need to be options that are clickable to select line size etc.

Thank you for the feedback, our goal is to make FRHD the best Free Rider editor and obviously for players to like / use it over other old/unofficial editors. We will look to tackle some of these requests based on priority / effort over the next month or so.

    I would say
    1. Zoom
    2. Shortcuts w/o shift+click
    3. Scrolling to change line/eraser size (comes with the separate keys)
    4. Separate keys
    5. zoom in and out on cursor

So yeah you pretty much got it right. And remember this is my personal opinion. When the CR editor came out I still used the FR2 editor until I got used to the removal of WASD panning haha. I think I got used to using the 'zoom in to mouse' feature instead of this. It would be awesome to see these implemented though.

That's good. Maybe add a shortcut to toggle snapping. That really doesn't save any keys though because the CR editor would just have you hold the button instead of toggling it. This way is probably better though.
