wtf is with "God"? People say that "He" controls peoples' lives and everything is "His" doing. If "He" had all that power why are there such things as poverty, disease, and death!? There is no "god" controlling your life. You are only controlled by yourself. "God" is just a sham. There is no "god". There is no resurrection. There is no such thing as someone controlling us. There is no Heaven or Hell; We die and we go nowhere but underground. Why tf do people think that they have a loving and caring "god" that gives you a few good things then gives you sickness, old age, and eventually death!? If there was a "god" he seems like a pretty big *******.

Nowhere in the bible did it say that God was against gay marriage. READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE. Not just little sections of it.

 

you see, some people need a god to believe in. having no god to believe in can leave some people broken and not able to believe in themselves. in fact, while religion has done much harm, religion has actually helped people tons, it's given people courage and bravery and most importantly, something to believe in

now, as a christian myself i am aware of harm religion causes. although it does seem as if god is the cause of poverty, hunger and disease, part of what we believe in is that our god gave us free will. he gave us the decision of whether or not to do good, and poverty, hunger and disease is caused by us. it isn't a supreme being's fault for the world's troubles, it's ours.

also, i'd like to point out that the bible only says things about homosexual actions (i.e. sex), not homosexual marriage or homosexuality itself

 

and please, pleeeaase don't rub your opinions into other's faces, we have rights to believe, you have rights to believe and so does everyone else. that's to be respected.

Christians believe that God originally created the world perfect, but Adam and Eve (first humans) were tested and failed, he banished them from his perfect world. Because of human nature, they have to work our way to heaven by enduring suffering and hardships whilst living a virtuous life. Common knowledge of the Christian faith.
YOU DO CONTROL YOURSELF. God doesn't control your life. but he does know the past, present, and future all at once, similar to the author of a book. He knows what you'll do in the future, what you've done, and what you're doing at any given moment. Thus he has no need to change your actions, because you're going to do exactly what he planned anyway.
We'll never know what happens after you die, maybe there isn't heaven or hell at all. But I honestly don't see a thing wrong with Christianity, maybe they are utterly and completely wrong, but we'll never know who's right until after we die anyway, so what's the point of spending so much time arguing about whether something is actually there or not? I believe in God, and some of my faith can seem hard to believe, but listening to his commandments is only doing me good, so why not? Even if God doesn't exist, whoever came up with the Christian faith is only trying to help fellow men.

 

I believe there's no point in making a child forget his imaginary friend if it is the only thing keeping the child sane -_-

Your "God" doesn't give you morals, but gives you an imaginary reason to follow those morals. We atheists follow morals not because we believe that there is an invisible man watching us, but because our morals will contribute to other's morals and generally make the Earth a better place(Whereas you Christians just want morals to go to an imaginary heaven)
