Honestly, as much as I dislike Apple, I wouldn't be caught dead using Android before iOS, especially if iPhone prices were lowered. Android is far too laggy and apps crash way too much for my taste, not to mention I hate Google more than Apple.

That's not downloading from the browser. As you already said: it's just a link to the App Store. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but on Android you can download an app from places other than the central Play Store. You can simply go to the website of an app and download it right then, just like downloading a video or an image. It's like running a windows machine: go to ex. http://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/install.html#howToInstall. Notice it doesn't link to the Play Store. With this one feature I can download whatever I want, from wherever I want. Of course, you have to be careful about maliware, but thats why I said that Iphones are are perfect for little kids or older people. The device is completely out of their control, how can they make a mistake?
I do agree with you guys, Android isn't very stable, and I don't like the UI a ton either. But the priveliges that this OS gives me are well worth it for me.

While I prefer Android over IOS, there's no mobile OS I've really loved. Android's choppy. Apple is a selfish jerk. Life sucks. (I haven't had the opportunity to use a Windows Phone so I can't evaluate it's OS).
I love jailbreaking, but it's even more insecure than Android. And besides, root an Android and you can practically create your own operating system.

Did you know: That nearly every feature Apple baked into IOS, they got the idea from Android or a Jailbreak tweak? Ex. control center was copied from the Jaibreak tweak SBSettings; Custom keyboards have been on Android for years.

Having the option doesn't mean it's necessarily a benefit though, there's a reason Apple doesn't allow apps to be sideloaded and for the overwhelming majority of people, it's a good reason. I myself used the feature when I was on Android but I can't say it's an advantage in favor of the OS.
You can go to your nearest AT&T/Verizon/etc and test out any WP they have there, I've used all 3 and Android and iOS just weren't very good for me. I liked Android's customization, but it goes too far and everything else is bad. As for iOS, it's too restricting and boring to use but also much speedier than Android and so less aggravating.
All of the platforms take ideas from each other. Android has taken things from iOS, both have taken ideas from WP, and WP has taken ideas from Android and iOS. It's the way things work.

It depends what your gonna do with your phone. If all you want is to run apps, and you don't mind paying a little more (Android apps are generally cheaper), than IOS is perfect for you. But I love tweaking, and making an OS custom fit for me. The control Android gives me wins me over, but I can understand the sureity IOS has.
I'm starting to wonder though, is IOS's speed only there because the lack of that feature? I mean, how can use possibly get a virus if you're only allowed to download from Apple services?

Well, these are called phones, so I would say a feature's usefulness depends on if it helps or hinders your phone's ability to be a phone. For most people, getting malware from sideloading untrusted apps hinders their ability to use their phone, so I don't think it can really be said to be an advantage for anyone except people who don't need their device to be a phone.
iOS's speed doesn't come from lack of that feature, but not coding it into their OS along with the customization features of Android helps speed up iOS I think.
