The luckier one would be the one who won by 5 seconds. I already explained this in my previous post. It would be more unlikely to beat the 0.2 seconds with checkpoints by luck, than to beat the 5 seconds without checkpoints by luck. For example, on CR, a noob could possibly complete a couple of track segments by luck better than the pro ghoster. But it's unlikely that the noob would have as much luck on all the other track segments as well. Say the pro ghoster can do a track segment in 15 seconds in one out of ten attempts. Yes it takes luck for the pro to get that one 15 second run, but for the noob, the same would take like 200 attempts for instance. That's why it's very unlikely that the noob could beat the pro by luck on CR. On FRHD, there are more luck involved, because if the pro ghost had to use a checkpoint for instance, a noob would rather likely beat him if he was lucky enough to avoid crashing.

And even though the BHR ghosters' "true talent" is revealed, they still need lots of luck to get relatively good times on FRHD. Say you've done a perfect run so far, but then you crash one time. No matter how good your ghost was, your time will be bad because of that crash. And your time would be very easy to beat by doing a lazy ghost, but carefully avoiding crashing any time. I've noticed that using a checkpoint one time, and even if you crashed very close to it, it has a huge effect on your time, so don't try to say that it doesn't affect your time. And it's not skill that you avoid crashing. There are some skill involved too, but it's more luck-based than ghosting on CR. The faster FPS also makes it even more luck-based, because the rider is harder to control by skill. One good example of a track segment where you need lots of luck to ride without crashing, would be these kind of parts:

Those kind of glitches are impossible to predict and you often need to play the whole track through beforehand to find out whether there are glitches or not. And it's not just glitches, you also need to play the tracks through, because you need to know how certain parts can be completed fast enough or how they should be completed in the first place. On CR you didn't need to do this. You could just simply start playing, because there was no worry about crashing.

I don't know about the "lag rider" thing (I don't use slow browsers on BHR), but it's sure that the decent ghosters on FRHD are more like luck riders.

Exactly. I don't have to do any explaining, because you just did it for me.
It seems like if the developers can find a way to stop checkpoint hacking, then the CR version would be perfect.

Ya, I think they are updating it! First nhdtops track, then my editor broke... Then the fps, then I couldn't load website... Are they updating it???

after playing shadowland I think that we are in dire need for a fill tool. It should only be accessible to the best authors though, not everyone so it remains special.

You guys should add different grid sizes so in draw your own track you don't have to be super careful about shading. Now that's an idea.

Undo and Redo can be accessed through the hotkey of Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y. As for backspace, that will occur if your browser is not "focused" on the editor. Clicking outside of the editor box will cause the browser to lose focus and clicking back inside will refocus.

Hey Velksy, I have a idea that I think is good and that is grid sizes so you don't have to be careful about shading or messing up. There can be small grids for shading or big ones for idk. What do you think.
