It's a real shame that there's nothing about this track that was really good other than the bg.

Tbh the mountains were the only thing I liked about it.

 

Honestly, I would have been surprised if it got featured, but it would have been cool if it did.

Im not sure what you guys are going off of. Because if its game play? Half of the featured tracks are out. This should be featured. Its immaculate and you can see his attention to detail.
I believe it is inspirational to other authors to see, as it shows what can be done with some time.

 

agreed with Crypt , only the mountains look appealing, everything else was amateur-ish

 

As much as I would love to see this get featured, I don't think it will. Would have loved if it was longer though.

What'are your views on gameplay exactly? I get a sense that you're quite the "hold-up" fan.
A realistic "hold-up" track, is yet to be experienced I'm afraid. I do however think that the detail in this track is better than a lot of the already featured tracks, and should so qualify for a featured spot. However, the ride is unacceptably short. And the detail in the auto part, killed my first impression of this track, as the detail that followed with it had a significant lower standard.

I think it needs to be more transparent what you're scoring these tracks.

 

It's really not though. Really not.

Okay so here's dreamt place:
Positives:
Crazily innovative background, really well done.
The cloud and mountain background situation is mega beautiful, for the style it is
Oh and so is the bottom cave opening bg bit
Touching story is touching, although it's not very well punctuated.
The extra playing bit is okay, not amazing but ok.
In fact if that rode off of the background and just that and was longer it'd be a yes and I've said that multiple times.

negatives:
It's too short
The auto just, doesn't feel good.
The ground detail is just downwards lines and it's just unbearable quality compared to the background
Rails in grey, not a baddd badd one but it's unnecessary.
The rocks aren't good, no matter what you say char.
Machine bit wasn't that good either
In saying to the bottom cave, top cave doesn't come close to it

Any more and it'll seem like nick picking but there.

Carbon Dioxide (Blue Trashcan) and if you think Oh it's an pssst track, it's still a mmi track:
Positives:
The smoke stacks really fit that mmi style. Probably some of his best.
The vanilla grid style is very well fit in most if not all areas.
It's fun to play, despite it's challenging.
It's a relatively long play which for a simpler style like this, it's needed because a shorter track probably wouldn't cut it.

Negatives:
The line things are ugly, I called it out on the other side and pssst already uploaded it here so.
It's hella challenging, prob a little too much for most.
Not exactly the greatest fan on the fences but the breakages make up for it

Look I'm not going to nitpick all day for you but this is what I think on both of the tracks.It really boils down to two things, consistency and length (although the other sites version does Carbon Dioxide/Blue Trashcan justice), if it was the other way around then Dreamt Place would be featured and not CO2/Blue Trashcan. Take it or leave the "justifications" but that's what I think.

I made this thread because I felt wyatts track should be featured. Not to negatively compare it to other tracks. Don't trash my work for a comparison.

That being said I still believe this track should be featured.
