Alright, I've got to go on the record and say that this is my favorite track from you by far. It is possibly the only track that made me feel something emotionally, in this medium a story and emotions are extremely hard to make as well, so kudos for that. The detail was also extremely consistent, whether being in the clouds or the amount of trees. This is the only track of yours that involves trees that I can just stare at for long periods and not find fatal flaws in detail. That all black Crypt-like tree near the end is some good **** there.
However, I did have some SLIGHT nitpicks on some stuff, but nothing really major. First off, while I did say that the detail was amazingly consistent from start to end, it felt like the cavernous area was a bit too empty. It was enough to not be really noticeable, but after looking at it for a bit it severely differs from the rest of the track. Maybe even some outlines of stuff in there would have looked fine, and filled the gaps in between the two highly detailed environments. Secondly, the mountains looked.... rushed. Like 'I have to upload this in 15 minutes and I don't have mountains' rushed. If they were lower, or just had some light detail in them, there would be no complaint. Finally, most of the man-made objects (i.e the car, the house, etc.) didn't really fit with the rest of the map, notwithstanding some of it being kinda sloppy. A lot of the lines on the house weren't connected or were just kinda slapped in there, not really caring about the boundary that was set for them, while the vehicle on the left had a kinda skewed perspective.
Those were all really small nitpicks tho, and I really had to look to find stuff to really pick at to give criticism. Overall, this is a really damn solid track that made me feel stuff like no other, some of the cleanest detailing by you to date, and the trees were 10/10. There were nitpicks, but all they were were nitpicks, nothing else. As soon as I saw this, it was no doubt a feat, no matter how long, and you even surpassed my expectation of it (which was pretty high btw). So gj, and lookin' forward to next week
