Update HUGE UPDATE - Single Page App + New Editor + Stuff!

I personally liked the old zoom better. People like me who naturally play with a .5 zoom. Will find it annoying to have to pause at the beginning of every track...

 

Well, we can always make it save your zoom state.

PROBLEM!! entering via facebook, with windows xp and both with firefox or chrome i'm not able to go full screen, it's pretty much unplayable like this, please can solve this? thnks.

 

Aight, and one more thing, whenever I scroll down to look at the comments, the screen freezes for about. 5-8 seconds and it paused for about 20 the one time...

when i play tracks, i still notice an overly grainy quality on standard zoom. when i zoom in by 1, its good.
it has always been like this however, and i thought you would have fixed it by now.

This is due to sub-pixel rendering. A browser antialiases lines that do not fall on solid pixel coordinates.

The issue is that we have to deal with zooming at fractions. I will try and play around with it to fix it, but I have already invested hours and hours into that issue.

Stig we might have to play with the default zoom

 

by default zoom you mean with the one you start up with? if so, that's the one, and the outer zooms, that i experience as grainy.
maybe you could make the default zoom, a tad closer? making the 1+ zoom the default one instead? and if people feel the need to play with a bigger look, without zooming out, they could afterall just go into fullscreen.
i miss the auto zoom that was adjusted by speed though i feel like canvasrider might have killed that one...
e; the auto zoom gave the ride more action, and made the track itself appear more alive. you know what i mean. perhaps a thing to consider to re-invent in the future?

Yeah the auto zoom haha. Loved by many, hated by many.
Auto zoom was killed due to the way rendering is done, specifically on html5 canvas. Looping through thousands of lines and drawing in specific zoom levels just isn't really feasible.
Its complicated, but I get what you are saying, I actually enjoyed it too. With the current zoom system, it is possible to bring it back experimentally, but I think you would hit periods of lag.

 

I can't use any buttons on the pull out menu (eg. Notifications, tracks...). They pull out but nothing happens when i press. I will delete this if its resolved in awhile. Galaxy S 5 android, Google chrome.

 

Pushing out a fix now.

 

Love the new update! I'm disappointed that there isn't the new layout, but it's great.
The zoom is so much better!!!

Char I am on a mac with the newest operating system, and I was drawing a track and the eraser stopped working. I reloaded and added the code again and it worked again. Also I don't really like the way it pauses at every checkpoint unless I hold something down. Otherwise it looks great and its sweet!
