Hey guys, in this thread I'll be showing a step by step walk through on how to create pixel art! Step One. Find a pixel template online or make one yourself. I will be using this one. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dWmMQeiUE...U/HUI2wJytggc/s640/ironman_pixelart2_grid.png (I'm only doing the face) Step Two: Open up this image to guide you how to use the colors. Elibloodthirst made it. Each color has it's different shading pattern. i59.tinypic.com/2d9mp2.jpg Step Three: Open up the Track Editor and turn the grid on. You will use the grid to create each square of the pixel. Step Four: Now we can start making the actual pixel. I always start making the black outline on the pixel (I only did the face), put you can do it anyway you want. So a square of four little squares on the grid equal one square on the template. So if you wanna make the black outline, use any of the four black options on the guide to make the outline. You can fill it in or use the cross, x, diamond option. Here's the outline: i62.tinypic.com/2j4d7k9.gif Step Five: Now we can start shading in one of the colors. Now I will do the red coloring of the face. Follow the template accordingly to shade in the red. And use the guide to get the right color. Use the bright red. Here's the outline with the eyes and red shaded in: i58.tinypic.com/xooaxf.gif Step Six: Last step! Now we just have to fill in the yellow. Use the same steps as the red to complete shading in the yellow. Refer to the shading guide for the yellow coloring. Here's the completed face!: i60.tinypic.com/25qrvra.gif Congratulations! Now you know how to properly create a awesome pixel art. Keep on practicing by creating even more pixels. If you have any questionS comment below or message Elibloodthirst or Jgeleta1.
Protip: Don't use FRHD's editor (The new one is fine I guess :/) to make sprites, takes the fun and puts it in camps, stupid fun Nazi's.
Just another tip, I suggest that once you have done a lot of copying the other pixels, try to create your own pixel shapes. Then keep making them bigger and by the time you have 30x90 or bigger pixel arts then you can work on shading. It's a skill that takes time to aquifer... I've been doing pixel art for about 4-5 years and Elibloodthirst has probably been doing it for a long time too...
I'm pretty sure me and Eli both use the forbidden websites editor... But some people don't have the access to it...
So you think I should, from now on, call all my pixel tracks instead of "Pixel Art: Turtle" to "Sprite: Turtle"?
