Leaderboards

I have an idea for the leaderboards.
Maybe we can have a leaderboard scoring system based on our nationality or the country we choose to represent. Points will be based on number of players who has scored firsts in the leaderboards in the tracks. Of course, the country with more representatives will get more points, however, to make this fair, the scoring system will be based on the (total points earned)/(total number of representatives of that country). I think this will keep players to compete will more people instead of focusing on just the best players.

 

In one line: Compete with other countries rather than just other people.

actually, you are competing as a country against other countries

 

But then competing with people of the same country will pretty much become less important.

 

beating someone of your country who's already first is only for your benefit. in this case, your country do not gain any points.

edit on main post: players who have scored firsts not any positions

 

One thing that may be a problem with this though is that a lot players may not want to give away their country and leave us with few players representing countries.

 

then it will be compulsory for players to represent a country. or just create a league of nations or something like that lol

 

or there could be a country called "independent/UNLISTED Free Rider HD participants"

 

or just include players who participated in it. I'm down for it.

But...

What if people like Skijumping and Asierro lived in the same country?
We (Every other country) would die.
It might even start World War 3!

Yes, this is what I wanted to say, but I thought people were too fascinated by league of continents, so I didn't.

 

I believe Skijumping lives in Franc while Asierro lives in Spain.

 

Your missing the point, lots of really good riders in one country, not many in another country.
It wouldn't be fair on me, I live in New Zealand.

then you might want to join the 'good' countries ^_^ plus it only matters as to who gets first in any of the tracks.

 

If we could join other countries, then it would be better to have groups instead of countries.
