    Well.... I asked char about the expectations of being official and all of that Jazz then I showed him a track and he said I deserve it.
    Plus I'm active in the community and that so yeah :)
    Plus I have a few nice forests going on right now so I probs do deserve it ;)

    I asked Char how people got Official Author in a PM on the forbidden website and he never replied... in the next week I guess I was made an Official Author.

    I don't really think I deserve to be one! But since I am one, now I have to make better tracks and work harder on my tracks! Also char said that he was making some people that were known by a lot of people official to test the editor (so I got in for being active in the community xD) just in case you guys wanted to know...

    That is a good point, my current WIP wouldn't be anywhere near it is right now if it weren't for my Official Author status. I didn't deserve it, but it definitely encouraged me to step up my game. I want to live up to my title.

    I did not ask to be an Official Author, and I really didn't care if I was. New editor preview, eh. Free Track upload, dirt-cheap anyway. I only had to make just one decently detailed track, my first -GRAVITY- MTB, and that must've made me an Official Author. :/

    I made about 4 trending tracks before official... But it's actually pretty easy to make trending now and days... There is a broken hold up on the trending for crying out loud...
