I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that it would be nice to get to know our beloved admins a little bit better. Basically, the most we know about you mysterious people are your usernames, and that most (if not all) of you live in Canada, eh?
So, if you are an admin (and you are comfortable sharing more info), why don't you explain who you are? I'm sure there are many people here who are interested in learning about you.
Now, I'm not talking about family history and all that nonsense, rather, information along the lines of your education, your hobbies, and your role as part of the FRHD team.

For all of you non-admins (like myself), we may as well throw down a few questions. I will start.
    - How did you become part of the team?
    - How long have you been part of the team?
    - Is it true that most of you sit in a basement programming together?
    - What part of the website are you responsible for? (Do you do game development, website development, moderation, etc)
    - What programming languages are you familiar with?
    - Do you have any projects in the past that you are proud of?
    - Do you have a degree in Computer Science or something along those lines? Or is programming just a hobby that you became very good at?
    - How many hours a day do you spend working on the site?

Hey, I'm Velksy the intern/person who does a bunch of little things around the office. :)
    - How did you become part of the team?
I started work at Kano Apps as an intern working on our web portal, Kano Games, which included Free Rider 3. I then followed the production path into FRHD.
    - How long have you been part of the team?
Starting working at Kano Apps a year and a half ago.
    - What part of the website are you responsible for? (Do you do game development, website development, moderation, etc)
Although the majority of my time is still dedicated towards our Kano Games website, I am responsible for the FRHD forum and the social media pages (Facebook, Google Plus, Etc)
    - What programming languages are you familiar with?
Very little compared to the other team members as they aren't my current field of study. The basics of Python, HTML, and Javascript are as far as I've gone.
    - Do you have any projects in the past that you are proud of?
    Created this Forum ;)
    - How many hours a day do you spend working on the site?
The majority of my time is still dedicated towards Kano Games but as FRHD grows I'm sure that will be changing.

I'm coming to visit :D .. Just kidding.. You live on the other side of Canada.

Very interesting.. I'm thinking about getting into mechatronics engineering (electrical + software). Any tips for a wanna-be programmer?

Same with me.. I know quite a bit of Python, but very little HTML and Java. I'm working on teaching myself Java at the moment. :)

If you are in downtown victoria visiting feel free to drop by but just so you know we aren't the most personable bunch in real life versus online ha.

For a wanna-be programmer my advise would be just get started by trying to build things. There are so many resources online to help new and experienced programmers. Depending on what you want to do but don't make the same mistake I did by taking 5 years to get an engineering degree in a field that is totally unrelated, looking back going to school for 2 years for programming, building things on the side and then dropping out to build things full time would have fast tracked myself to where I am now.

    Thanks for the advice! :)
I'm currently working on my own projects in Python, as well as assignments in my grade 11 programming class. (Currently remaking the game Super Hexagon).
However, I don't think I'm going to follow a career specific to just software engineering, as a lot of my interest involves robotics. But you never know.. That may change soon! :p

    8 HOURS?! ... Lucky .. Sounds like such a fun job :p

Well, this sound really promising. I was going to start a thread about the background on the development team but this is more than enough. You guys even work together at an office? That's really great and it's nice that you have your full attention for FRHD. I was skeptical at first and rather disappointed when Canvas Rider was forced to shut down as I've spent a couple of years over there but really, it makes sense and only now I understand what Maxime actually did, after reading some old topics from 2009 on Trackmill. I really wish you guys the best of luck and I really hope that Free Rider can be a little more mainstream sometime soon.

    Velksy , Char, Eric,

I'd like to know what made you create FRHD,
Does one of you have experience with actually building tracks? Has any of you ever published a track and have you played any of the previous free rider games?

btw, I'm guessing that you guys are all one of these : http://www.kanoapps.com/about/ ?
    which Eric is this haha?
