So at my school one of my best friends is 50-50 **** and hetero and he says he doesn't deveiate. I also know one girl who might also be 50-50 and one girl who is full lesbian. Those two girls went out once this year and the lesbian girl got her heart broken out of it.

First off, I've never heard it explained that way- pretty cool. Ever since I came out I've been very open to talk about sexuality because I know how frustrating it can be to be questioning, and I want people to understand who they are.

Dating is often a problem among asexuals because we have no sexual desire and our partners might, so unless you're dating another asexual, you and your partner would have to make compromises to make up for the lack of sex. I probably wouldn't have an issue having sex just to please a girlfriend, however some may. From what I understand, sex is a super important part of relationships among sexual people, and I wouldn't want to rob my partner of that. I've had girlfriends and been single in the past, and I have been happy both ways, so it really depends on if I can find a long-term partner who I really love and doesn't ask much of me in the sexual aspect. Sure I'd be willing to make compromises, but they should too. Honestly as long as I have a good social life it shouldn't be much of an issue whether or not I'm dating. And kids, if I ever (I don't think I will) want them, I'd either have sex for the sake of reproducing, or adopt- because there is plenty of wonderful kids with shitty lives, who need a loving family!

The neighborhood I grew up in was much nicer, but moving to the city of Long Beach (NY) opened my eyes to the fact that it really depends on the neighborhood you live in. I hadn't even understood what sex and sexuality was all about in my conservative little suburb until my family divorced and my mom moved us to Long Beach. The kids there were raised in a different environment I suppose, because sex was all they knew- it was just a typical part of the lifestyle there. Nude pictures, rape incidents, exposure to porn and young teens having sex galore in that city.

Only you have the right to put a name to your sexuality. Don't let me do it. I only heard that it was a physical feeling from arm and eli just now, so It's certainly not strange that you dont feel that way. I'm not very sexual myself, but I've never heard it put that way so I'd assume that how you feel for others is fairly normal. Look up some terms, and have some people try to explain things, and see if you can determine what label suits you best. Personally Asexuaity.org had enough info in it's FAQ section for me to realize that their description fit me really well, and that I was an Asexual. Scour for resources (the internet if full of 'em) and see if you can find a description that closely describes how you feel.

Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction- having no sexual feelings or desires, while Aromantic is the lack of romantic attraction- a little harder to understand IMO but basically you dont feel the need to express you love in any romantic way (think: romantic people take their partners out to dinner and hold hands, while aromantic people don't express their love that way. Just being friendly is enough.

I have been taught my whole life that homosexuality is wrong. I was taught to hate them because they were different or because they were "sinful".
My point of view completely changed when I met and made friends with people who were gay/lesbian.
People are different so accept it.

Met a friend through one of the old free rider forums actually, he came out to me and I was surprised, but it helped change my view of things and made it a little easier coming out to myself because I had him. That was 3 years ago and we still talk today.
