On livestreaming- Has it been done before? Sometimes I work on tracks for hours on end and as long as it doesn't lag me out I'd turn on a livestream every time I'm spending some time on a track. Of course I'd announce in advance, and I wouldn't care if people just tune in for a few minutes or not at all. I just figured if I'm doing it anyways I might as well give some people a sneak peek.
Would anyone be interested? Any screen recording software you'd recommend? I'd also probably just use join.me because it works well on mobile devices.

On tablets- I'll probably be getting myself an Intuos tablet in the near future. Would the brush option work on a tablet so I wouldn't have to use a mouse to draw? Obviously I could rig it up so it would, but would simply plugging it in get that to work?

    Thanks.

I've never watched someone livestream free rider but it'd be cool tbh, use twitch or hitbox
I believe they are working on the mobile editor, I haven't tried to use it so I'm not sure what its like.

If you streamed I'd definitely watch it on and off.
I have a wacom pad, works great with brush. Also it helps to turn down the mouse sensitivity to increase precision.

Awesome. I figure most people will leave a tab open in the background and just tune in every once in a while.

Which Wacom pad do you own? Any recommendations? Also, did you make Forest Medley using the brush on a tablet? Love the effect you achieved on the trees. Pretty hard to get using the mouse from my experience, but possible.

It's called a Wacom Bamboo tablet. It's older I don't know if they make that model anymore, but it's small so it's not very precise. But yeah I don't use it for track making, the only thing I can see myself use it for in the future is foliage, but even then it's a bit hard with the brush line length options.

Alrighty, thanks. Yeah i figured as much. I'm probably still going to draw straigh lines and such with the mouse but for things such as water, detailing and foliage I'll use the intuos for. And yeah I believe the new "intuos" series is basically a continuation of the older "bamboo" one, which has become a different project entirely. I'll also probably get a medium sized one because small isnt precise from what I've heard and I'm also not willing to spend a ton to get a large size.

Edit: holy f*cknuggets, no way I'm getting a medium. Like 200 USD for medium vs 80 USD for the small (which is not really all that small quite honestly)

Huh. Do most of the artists on here use drawing tablets, or am I the only serious one who uses a mouse? XD

I use a mouse for about 95% of what I do, just side art (not sprites) I do in graphics tablets.

Most people on here use mice exclusively

So what you wanna do specifically live streaming, just drawing?

Yeah. I only thought about it when doing some tiny foliage. Drove me nuts, but other than that I'd see myself using the mouse quite often

I was thinking possibly a chat or audio call for anyone who wants to tune in so it doesnt get boring af. I'd do facecam but I'm on a Lenovo laptop and It'd lag me out too much and there's no purpose for me to use it anyways.

Ah, usually they do. I've done tinychat and join.me streams of making sprites. They're relatively boring for others. If you really wanna show someone, then a sped up version would prob be best.
