Sexuality / Gender / Crushes

*Ignorance will not be tolerated. These are real people with real feelings. Do not post anything in this thread that is hateful / not considerate of other people's beliefs. Religion isn't allowed here, just facts and opinions.

Creating this thread for us to talk about our sexualities, gender identities, and even crushes, or experiences with these topics and similar ones (No 'gay rights' talk here; nobody is superior because of their identity and should certainly not be treated as such. Gays have as much rights as anyone else. That topic is for another day). I want this to be an open and mindful place where we can share our feelings for people, whether they be sexual or romantic, and learn about things we may not have known.

To start, I think we should do something like this and build conversations off of it:

• Gender
• Sexuality (and romantic orientation if necessary)
• Past / current crushes and relationships
• What you find attractive in a person
• Experiences with the topics in the title of this post
• Other things worth mentioning / stories

Some things worth mentioning and rules:
Hell yeah straight people / Male & Female people have a right to post here - Just because you may not be qualified or experienced in these fields does not mean you're excluded. This is an educational thread, no religious or persuasive thoughts should be forced upon anyone. Be tolerant, nobody is superior. No in-depth descriptions of sexual / NSFW experiences; keep in mind that this site has some younger kids on it.

So... I'm gonna start.

• I'm Male.
• I'm an asexual, and I'm heteroromantic (Refer to definitions).
• I've only had crushes on a few girls, but I've only been attracted to their personalities, common interests, etc. Never any sexual attraction experienced - hence the asexuality.
• What I find attractive in a girl: (yes I know they sound corny; sorrynotsorry that I dont like booty or boobs)

1. Common interests
2. Personality / kindness
3. Funny
4. Is okay with the fact that I'm a total fuckin' weirdo
5. Artistic ability
6. Dresses well
7. Laid back
8. Etc.

• I've had some gay friends, I've come out to pretty much everyone about being an Asexual (and faced the stereotypical problems that come along with coming out), I have a transgender friend, I've never been turned on by anyone of any sex, and porn just doesn't do it for me either, and lastly- I'm perfectly happy with the way I am and I wouldnt change a thing.

I like this because it is important and often overlooked. There is a large chunk of the population who doesn't know 90% of the information here. It shouldn't be taboo either.

I'd say I'm mostly straight
I've had a variety of crushes, haven't found a preference. I just like anyone based on by their personality.
This applies for friends as well:
I like someone that can accept me when I'm not the best, and when I'm at my best. Someone to share my thoughts freely and without judgement. I love when people can read my thoughts so that I don't even have to finish my sentence, and same for them. Must have a twisted sense of humor, being immature without being immature about being immature. And respects me as well as themselves. Oh and I love creative or artistic people above all else.

I fully support gay marriage, I am straight though.
Have had a few crushes on some girls, I never asked them out because my parents won't allow me to (they're very over-protective), which is upsetting because I'm watching all kids my age get in relationships and kiss while I get nervous ordering at McDonalds

All the girls I've had crushes on have been really nice, cute, athletic and funny. Most of them have been intelligent. I guess I like people who share most of my personality and characteristics. For instance, I play hockey all year and soccer during the fall (athletic). I am nice, idk if I'm cute, and I like to think that I am funny. I also am pretty intelligent for my age. I also like having friends who I can tell them anything, even the most embarrassing things about me and they never laugh and don't say anything about it unless I broach the subject myself.

For what I like, idk. Anyone who I can have a laugh with but at the same time be serious when that time is needed and they mesh well with my personality. Oh and if it comes to engaging conversation with them after you're with/friends or what not. I like it when both parties are clearly making effort to talk to each other. One sided relationships aren't cool.

I'm accepting of others, I got close friends of all sexualities because like who cares right? It's their choice and if they wanna do that then that's cool, I'm cheering them on for being different.

Agreed. I shouldn't have to fight for a good relationship when you could care less. Effort from both sides is necessary, and my older sister's boyfriends have lacked this in the past and it always drove me CRAZY!

Honestly idk if I'm panromantic or just heteroromantic because I have never had a crush on a guy before but then again I'd have no problem with it as long as I found the person for me. I'd date a guy but I haven't yet so I'm just gonna stick with hetero until I do.

I like people that accept me fore who I am and enjoy my stupidity almost as I do and they have to be able to carry on a nice long conversation. I don't care about how you look or Bout the ass or the boobs, but I love great personality!

First of all, good on you for supporting gay marriage. I wish more people would follow!

I'd suggest proposing the idea of dating to your parents. If you think you're ready for it, you probably are. It's an important part of teen years

I've seen too many people get hurt by it, to the point where I've been nervous about my own relationship. I'm totally fine in it though. Cool to see people open up and not argue here btw.
