Exactly how this argument between Crypt and iTzChuckNorris started. I said that, and he goes and tells me how great autos are.

 

How great autos are!? I thought frhd was about making tracks and not videos! I mean, an auto is basically a video, no? And frhd is not a video sharing site!

 

autos on this site are.... bad. to say the very least. cr and bhr have some beautiful autos, and the appeal of them come from fluid movement and the insane tricks that can be pulled off. yes, it is kind of like watching a video, but there's something really cool about a really well made auto. it's kind of like calligraphy in that sense, to see perfect letters is, well, satisfying. it's the same thing with autos imo. when the bike is so well controlled and doing so many perfect movements without dying, its satisfying and amazing to see how people did it.

 

You didn't get it, did you!? It isn't kind of like a video, it IS a video! And frhd is NOT youtube!

well me, this thread isn't for arguing either, but people are using it that way same thing with autos, this game can be used and made to do different things, an example is make an auto or a really detailed track. the possibilities are pretty varied.

 

Control the auto to do what? Kill the rider because now you've like stopped the auto in the middle and it doesn't work anymore!? Or let the rider fly in the white space!?

 

OR try and get a better time than what the auto will usually get. Yeah, it's harder, but it can be fun if you're good enough.

 

Well in this game you can draw anything. So, if we think of this game as a drawing app, then you shouldn't make racing tracks in a drawing app. Similarly, if we think of this app as a racing game , then you can't draw art in a racing game, but you can create a race track instead. The possibilities are pretty varied, but they must stick to the fact that this is a racing game!

10/10 best response ever. I do have a valid point, however.

that logic is quite confusing. honestly i think me and crypt won this argument, but it might just be me at 2 in the morn with my brain as useful as a potato powering a supercomputer. my point was that if you want to make an auto, you can. if you want to make a crappy track that took 2 minutes, you can. if you want to spend hundreds of hours of your life arguing on if an auto is youtube, i guess you can if you want. the entirety of this game is based off user-generated content. there are undoubtedly going to have different approaches to the trackmaking process. so if people want to make an auto that is as smooth as butter sliding down a hill, i'm not going to complain as good autos can take longer than a regular track to make.

 

So you're basically saying that frhd is a drawing app, and not a racing game.

But then, why do all tracks have to have at least one star!?

That's only for this game. both cr and bhr have several no star tracks. N Resort never had a star until it was imported here, and it was to make it possible. before that, it was only made to ride around on and just look at the art, along with making cool tricks. I'm done arguing with myself now thanks, going to go work on stuff.

 

Well a star means you have to reach the end, of the track, to win. The track, not the drawing!
