What is the thing you like least about free rider?

so you're blaming me personally for being overrated by the community? seems fair. I thought you said you hated me because I can't draw not because of popularity.
this game IS the community. why not just play offline if you feel that way?
also: if you haven't noticed, some of my tracks have scenery lines. actually all of them do.

Because I not only enjoy drawing them but also playing them? Can't exactly load other people's work offline. The game is the GAME. The community is the community.

No. I don't even hate you in all honesty. I don't know the first thing about you that isn't blatantly obvious. I do, however, hate the "im popular" attitude. And I literally just explained why I don't play offline. How does one play other people's tracks offline? Do they just automatically load up for me?
I upload my tracks because I like to share my drawings. Doesn't mean it's for anyone in particular or that I care about others' opinions. It's just me contributing to the GAME by uploading my tracks, not the community.

 

Honestly, looking at your profile and the fact that you're even here talking means you're an active part of the community yourself. This game can't be played without player contributions, so you should really appreciate it a little more.

 

I don't remember saying I wasn't an active member of the community. I said I don't care about my rep or other people. I do care about their contributions to the game. What I mean by community is FORUM exclusively.

 

If you don't care about the community you don't care about their tracks nor their opinions of your tracks therefore you have no reason to play anyone's tracks nor share your own. If you tell me my tracks are boring/suck you better be DAMN sure that I'm going to use the "I'm popular" attitude. Not a thing you can do to change it either.

I don't want to change that either. I just want to mock it. You're welcome to pull the popularity card any time your arguments are brought into question but it doesn't change the validity or lack thereof. Claiming I hate you for solely that reason is bogus and you know it, which is why you're no longer using it. It's utterly useless.

So what you're saying is cr wasn't just a clone, but cr actually stole the exact code used in free rider. Which is why I never played these kinds of games! If cr was just a clone in regards to the basic idea of the game, and the code of it was made from scratch and not stolen, I would have played it! Because Kano Games here is trademarking the name of the game which is "Free Rider" and its code, but not the basic idea of drawing a track and racing it, so people can do whatever clones they want!

 

All I really wanted to get across is that people should make more tracks like this or this, not like this. I personally don't like scenery/rocky tracks, but a see how some people could. My main concern is people spending 5 minutes on a bad track, then posting it. The example took my friend like 10 minutes.

 

Not everyone has the talent or the time to do that kind of thing. I'm sure most people barely treat freerider seriously and will make a crappy track just for the hell of submitting something.

 

Yeah, but it really isn't that hard to connect your lines with the brush tool, then add some specks of scenery line. Even spending 15 minutes on detailing can make a huge difference. If people could do that, and not make those really short previews, I would be pretty happy.

From what I've heard about cr, yes. I believe that the code was taken directly from fr2 and changed to make it html5. All free rider games are technically clones of the original game, with the exact same gameplay and ways to make tracks. Yes, the base code was not from scratch (from what I know) but he did make the game run html, and added his own different mechanics to make it better and more fun.



Can we please stop arguing now?
