Better and more meaningful notifications

Here are a few ideas that I have for the way notifications work.

I've noticed that there are two kinds of notification messages for when people beat your ghost, they are:
    1. (A) just beat your best time in (B) - Race your friend!
    2. (A) just passed your world high score in (B).
The difference between the two is you either get the first one or you get both when a friend beats your ghost while you only get the second one when someone who isn't a friend beats a ghost of yours. I think this should be changed, you should get the first one (obviously removing "Race your friend!") when anyone beats a ghost of yours and you should get the second one when anyone beats a first place ghost of yours. Optionally, you can make a new message for when someone's ghost boots yours off of the leaderboard.
Furthermore, tabs should be included to organize the sea of notifications many of us get, maybe like Ghosts, Challenges, Comments. The date headers (Today, Yesterday, December 8, 2014 and on) should be enlarged to be more noticeable and maybe you can put a number next to each header to tell us how many notifications we got on that day, such as:
They'd be larger along with the headers, of course.

    Thoughts?

I've mentioned this before but it's worth mentioning again. I really really really would like to see a notification when I get knocked out of the top ten of a leader board. The notification would be something like "Notify me when my highscore is no longer a global best top ten". I get bumped dozens of times a week and I'm usually happy to just stay within the top ten. There are many many riders I can't beat so this notification will allow me to know which tracks to go back and play for another hour or two to try to get back in the top ten...if I can... o_O

Along with "Notify me when a friend beats my highscore" and "Notify me when anyone beats my leaderboard highscore", I think adding "Notify me when my highscore is no longer a global best top ten" would resolve the flood of notifications I receive. For me, selecting "Notify me when a friend beats my highscore" and "Notify me when my highscore is no longer a global best top ten" would allow me to more easily sift thru the flood of notifications I currently receive.

And another could be notify me when someone beats my 1st place in a track.

I tend to be somewhere in the middle... o_O

But, yes, adding a 1st place notification would satisfy riders who want to maintain a 1st place position.

    I'm joining your bandwagon... :p
No notification for getting knocked out of the top ten is a regular complaint I chime in on whenever possible...coz I really really wish it would happen... :D

How is this still not implemented? There definitely needs to be a distinction of "sb beat your world record" vs. "sb beat your best time". I hardly care about the latter, but if I'm on top, I want to stay on top...

I think this hasn't been implemented because only a few threads have been made about it and ideas only seem to be picked up if people request it to the point of essentially spamming it. I feel that many good ideas are disregarded due to this, but I could be wrong. Either way, I hope they have plans that are at least as good as my suggestions, preferably better.

I agree with you guys, the notifications do need some work. I LOVE the tabs idea, and have actually mentioned it on another thread. But to further efficiency, all notifications should be WHITE until you click on it. After you do that it is marked as read and should turn GREY. That way I don't have to guess which notifications I haven't seen.

I like the tabs idea because I want to respond to any comment or reply to me, but I don't want to play EVERY challenge I receive, because frankly BarnabyHarper and Flying_T_Rex are kind-of "Challenge Happy" :)

Ayyy! I mostly send challenges when I beat a good track by a good author like cky199 or LDPrider or even get a world high score on a really good or hard track. So... :p
