Well it really depends on who is attacking who. Are we trying to take over Europe? Is Europe trying to take over the US? Is Russia counted as part of Europe? If all America had to do was defend itself from invasion then it most assuredly pull it off. But if we actually wanted to conquer Europe, it'd be much more difficult and painstaking. We'd probably manage to acquire Ireland, England, and the coasts of France, Spain, and Portugal, but moving inward would become a problem. But remember we have fought a unified army throughout Europe twice now and have managed to make our way into Germany both times. But that was with a two-front battle being fought, so we probably wouldn't get as far.

Onto the current thread's discussion.
People are talking about the dysfunctions of the American government but need I remind you that Europe literally IS divided still and many of their forms of union are crumbling. Their collective economy is steering toward a depression because they all share the same currency but refuse to act to benefit them all as a whole and instead chose to do what's best for themselves regardless of how they will effect the countries around them.
Obama isn't a problem in the slightest, a republican majority in congress with a democratic in office is a recipe for nothing to happen and that's exactly what has happened. The same people that bag on Obama are the ones that voted for Bush, who Obama is vastly superior to.
Healthcare/Obamacare and it's price isn't the fault of the president, it's the fault of workers unions and companies with contracts with hospitals. The unions drive their salaries up, and companies squeeze every last penny out of the hospitals. Operations that cost $50,000 here can cost $5,000 elsewhere in the world.

And the fact that Osama Bin laden died under Obama's administration means nothing. He didn't give the order and he wasn't involved in the operation. And the fact that we celebrate exacting vengeance on a man is a bit twisted.

Back upon the topic, I'm gonna say America.
The US are more advanced in nuclear warfare as we would all know, and Europe probably has little to no interest in defence and war whatsoever. This is because of the Financial crisis with Greece, and the fact there's an EU - The European Union, built to create international trading and peace between countries.
Also, the US, as we have all seen, invade places like Afghanistan/Pakistan (due to Bin Laden being a terrorist), Vietnam, Syria/Iraq (against Islamic State), and numerous others in the past and still going on today. USA still remains today as one of the strongest countries in the world, and has the strongest army, as it has won all of its major wars.
Therefore 'Murica wins my vote.
