"Boost" - with an arrow to boost(s) Allowed: +1 Stars Straight Lines 1 Loop Basic Scenery (don't overwhelm the player, as it is the 2nd track and we don't want them to miss the instructions) Overall track teaches: Tracks can have more than 1 star that needs to be collected Introduces boosts to the player, it will make them go faster or slower depending on direction! Introduces the fact that they can go upside down in a loop Hammer home to the player how to accelerate Feedback: If you guys have feedback on the track, thinking that we are missing anything please let us know. We don't want to limit creativity but want to set forth these basic game design requirements as teaching a new player how to play is one of the most important things! There will be 10 tracks in total ranging from Super Easy - Easy - Easy/Medium with the last 3 tracks working in most of the aspects / tools available in Free Rider. This being the 2nd track we are still at the early intro / tutorial stage Current Entries: WheelieMaker2 Sono Foil
That's nice Sono. To me, it would be nice to detail a bit more (grass.. ?) and the landing after the loop is not as smooooooth as I like them
I was told to put little detail, but I guess I could throw grass in a bit.. I will mess around with the landing a bit.. I just don't want to make it so smooth that you have to land the loop perfectly every single time. Knowing you, you probably leaned back during the loop to go faster, right? Well if so, that's why the landing is messy for you. Beginner players will not be leaning back, which will make them go slower, and land smoother. EDIT: On second thought, I don't think grass will look that good with the current theme.. I will see what everyone else says though.. Thanks for your input, Hash!
It's awesome! The only thing I can suggest is to add more scenery to the area surrounding the track and to add a star at the top of the loop, both to teach players about multi-goal tracks and to prevent cheating.
Maaaaan, it's not cheating, it's beating high-scores (And I love tracks where you can find opportunities to distinguish yourself)
Ahh I forgot to add the "Earn medals.." text. Shouldn't be too hard to add it in there, though. Here you go again: http://pastebin.com/KShcWLe3
Holy moly.. Just realized that I spelled "Campaign" wrong -.- Here is the fixed one. I promise this will be the last update xD http://pastebin.com/YBfksrUS
Sorry for the double post, but I understand that the tracks are being reviewed at the moment. I just want to make sure that you guys are reviewing my newest track (in the comment above), as it wasn't updated in the main post at the beginning of this thread. Velksy Eric Thanks guys.
