Officials should vote before new guys are allowed in

Some of the newest officials (not saying any names) aren't really up to snuff. Honestly, even people like me who earned it when the devs just started giving it out to new people really shouldn't have it. Official author should go back to the way it was when FRHD first started, only people who have contributed to past games should be given official, even better if they contribute to this game too.

Obviously we can't go around stripping people of their titles, so as the next best thing, Char Eric is it really that hard to make a thread and let the other officials vote before you give out the title? It's not like you have to do any programming, just make a thread with a poll and wait a couple days to see what we say.

I also know for a fact that MANY other official authors have been discussing exactly this...

tbh, yes. a couple of you new guys got the rank because you remixed pssst's track, which was already official quality and yet you didn't make it

Yes but it depends on the detail. I only used the track only code so I dunno...please dont say your gonna strip it off me!

 

I honestly think list of officials should be wiped and redone with a much higher standard, the official author forum (gonna be honest) is full of annoying kids who haven't even made a decent track. The official author forums used to be better, now it's just a meaningless title.

4. This title to me means a HELL of a lot.
I have contributed to older free rider games.

*claps* Nice speech Eric . However I think there should be a higher rank for Offficials, like the best 15 at this time and adding is much less frequent. This would be good so us new Offficials don't have people like Joelbmx jumping down our throats. However, I still think we should not add so many new Officials

Ok, guys, just remember, I'm the same person as I was when I wasn't official.

 

Here's my point of view. Everyone has the ability to be an official author. They just need to work and improve. I just think that we are giving them official author too early. We need to give them time to improve.

 

To add to Eric's point.
This isn't about being elite , its about being trustworthy.
Being official author removes constraints in uploading / cost of uploading. At some point in the future, we can add another "class / status" like "Elite Author" with a sweet colour.

Skeeny deserves it as she is trustworthy to upload good content. She's putting in the time, and is an active member.

 

Its clear you guys want another status held to a higher standard.

I think there will always be negativity towards authors who get official who don't quite seem to make the cut. For those who think they're apart of this, there is no point in defending yourself the opinions will be the same. If you aren't able to accept this fact, you will not improve. If you do, then few will give you any sh1ts. However what's done is done. I don't like the idea of removing official author status for anyone, which is why decisions should satisfy majority. If people voted/discussed we would at least have satisfaction in getting to discuss why or why not he/she should be deserving for official. If more ppl agree on a author the less cutting down they will receive too.
Edit: I'm aware it's about being trustworthy, but to keep on doing the same thing will result in similar "consequences". I'm just giving you guys an alternative to try, and see how it goes.
