    Yeah, okay when I click download on a track,its file says 0 bytes, and none of the other features besides dark mode work

    It's still there for me. Sometimes if you're trying to get it on a school laptop it won't work because of restrictions your school put in place. But if you're not then I've got no clue lol

    frhd-lite will always be available, even if it isn't on the chrome store. Though it is still currently publicly available on the chrome web store with no plans for that to change. However, if it does ever go down, frhd-lite is still open-sourced on my GitHub, and anyone is free to download and install it. I believe the current version on GitHub has some of the beta/experimental linear-interpolation integrated/implemented so that might even be the better choice for now if you want a smooth game.

    Alright sweet I had a idea where instead of just changeing the color of like the bike why not have a whole thing where you can put a design on it or make one I thought it'd be pretty sweet so here is a example:

    Version 0.1.0 is rolling out. In this version, linear interpolation has been implemented. The game should feel smooth as butter, no more choppy 30 FPS! Some users may not notice a difference, but if your monitor has a refresh rate above 120 you will certainly see and feel the difference.

    Toolkit Migration
    Web-based features have been moved into the new Free Rider Toolkit extension.

    New Features
    • Added an option for multi-threaded rendering. If you experience any issues with rendering, try toggling this option in the advanced options section.
    • Added an experiment for auto restart which will automatically restart the track when you complete it without surpassing your best time (currently unavailable)
    • Added an option to toggle the legacy timer (at the top left) which is also currently temporarily unavailable.
    • Added an option to cap your frames (currently unavailable)
    All currently disabled options will be restored in the next patch. Due to the scale of this update, certain features became incompatible and are being rewritten. As a result, they have been temporarily disabled until a future update. Namely the Player trail.

    Dev notes:
    • UI elements are now DOM-based. They are no longer rendered by the game; they rely on events emitted by the game to display the appropriate content.
    • Some properties and methods were removed. I'm abandoning backward compatibility where it is redundant. I've removed the settings property from the playerManager as it was not being used. As a result of the GUI being moved to the shadow DOM, their respective methods were also purged as they were no longer needed.
    • Optimized the tool handler by moving the checkKeys method call outside of the game loop and instead call it when a key is actually pressed or released. This will also apply to the mouse events in future updates. The mouse manager has once again been made into an EventEmitter instance.
    • Plans are in place to further optimize the game and transition more systems to an event-driven model. The goal is to reduce main-thread workload and free up resources for rendering, improving responsiveness under heavy load.

    maybe my refresh rate is the issue, but I'm experiencing some slight physics issues with frhd, mainly the fact that pete seems to have a tad bit more horizontal directions midair, and when pete crashes, there are 1 or 2 frames of displacement (2 frames after impact, pete shows up as wiped out)
    small side note is that now i have to reload a track to play it since loading it after clicking on a track doesnt work for me

    I appreciate your feedback. These are known issues, one of which has been resolved on my end, I will push an update soon. The ~2 frame displacement will remain an issue as it is simply a visual bug and a result of how the game was made. When pete is alive, he is drawn with the bike, relative to the bike. When he crashes, he is re-created and given new physics and properties; thus, he moves and acts differently than when he is still attached to the bike. I would love to have smoothed that out, and I may do so in the future, but it would require a rework which I don't have the time for at the moment.

    i just installed it and there is a problem for me...

    none of the buttons and features on frhd work anymore bc i installed it, do you think this is my browser or computer having an issue?
    for example, i have to reload the tab to go back to home page or random

    Version 0.1.1 is under review, should be released by tonight.

    This was a bit of a rushed released to address some crucial bugs like not being able to navigate the site. However, I managed to squeeze in some features I was working on.
    • Added frame time smoothing
    • Added an option to freeze frame when the game is paused
    • Added an option to automatically restart the track if you did not surpass your best time
    • Added an option to disable interpolation
    • Added a low latency mode
    • Added an option to set a maximum FPS (frame) limit
    • Fixed editor hotkeys not working
    • Fixed an issue where users couldn't navigate the site
    • Improved overall performance
    • Race progress display now automatically updates when you restart the track or change camera focus
    • Refreshed the extension popup — options that have added configuration now have a sub-menu toggle since it was getting a little crowded
    • Staged a low power mode option that should improve performance at a cost — not yet available
    • The "Darker" theme should now have the best performance
    • And more!
