Round 9 Results and Commentary

Sorry for the late post again, I have been very busy lately and have been quite flat. Nonetheless, there is just 1 round left in this contest. We are so close to the end!

KenosDK was meant to post the Round 9 track, but hasn't been responding to messages and has been relatively inactive. Instead, Cryx and Clash06 dropped a track on the easier side, containing slowmos to many's dislike.

Round 9 Times and Current Rankings
Cerasium cannot be beaten and has officially won GBC5! 2nd and 3rd between Xenom and Anonyymi is still undecided. The battle for the Rising Ghoster Medal is extremely close, Egona leads with 65 points, with Eunos in 2nd on 54 and EGRIFFITH close behind on 54.


Round 9 miraculously had 4 ties, the most in this contest. The top 4 in Cerasium, Anonyymi, Xenom and Uniior have remained a pretty constant norm over the 9 rounds. Egona and Eunos tied for 6th with isekeb close behind them. Totoca12 and EGRIFFITH also tied for 10th with times of 19.3 seconds.

Clash06, Cryx, pawflix and triip were within half a second of each other and TPlacella rounded out the top 15. panda_rider and nhdtop followed with JustAGDFan tied with Phasetree, and Protvod tied with HtH_RIDES immedietly after. All 4 in an interesting lock to bring up the main rear of the field. Sir__Human was a distant last with a 56.93 second ghost for 24th.

Zonkalization, Stevie.T, VictorEnummanuel, Cork, VA17, FunBunOne and LEBONBONGLAZERRRRR failed to ghost the track in time. We hope you join us for the final round.

TPlacella Award for Round 9

This round's award was easy to handout, and it had to be The_risen_skyrider. Coming in 5th for the round with an 18.6-second ghost behind some all-time greats, he really showed potential to compete with the best. TRS is 4th for the Rising Ghoster Medal on 38 points and 11th place overall. Coincidentally, the top 4 for the medal are all in 8th-11th place.

Since we are ending off the contest very soon, I have a wise speech for y'all. Well, just some wise words.
Thank you, TPlacella , for hosting this contest. I think I, as well as most other people here, have gotten a little better at ghosting. I really appreciate the effort you put into making the contest go smoothly, even when us as the contestants goofed off, and even when we had delays near the end of the contest.
Good job to the pros who returned for the contest, such as Cerasium , Anonyymi , Cork , Xenom and others. Y'all really inspired me (and likely others) to improve just by ghosting. Probably because of the competitive nature of this contest.
I might make a contest soon! I was going to make one about 2 months ago, but then GBC5 came and took the spotlight. Not TPlacella's fault, but I'm thinking of starting fresh with a simpler concept. I'll likely recruit Zonkalization to cohost.
And thanks to everyone who competed! Everyone did a good job and gave it their all, even the less skilled players like Ponjoja and ST4RSWillShine (OOOOHHH SICK BURNS!!!). Not dissing those 2 in particular, everyone did a good job at least.
As for me, I think I've decided my future in FrHd. From now on, I'm focusing on being a good track maker. I'll still ghost, but I probably won't become a pro at it anytime soon. TLDR, I'm going back to playing and ghosting FrHd normally.
And I also have a question for y'all. Where do you think you'll go from here? And for the pros, do you plan on staying on FrHd after the comp ends?
