Welcome to Ponjoja's Duo Contest 2025​

Which will begin on Nov 3, giving you all the time to prepare and join. In this contest, there will be 3 rounds each 7 days long (Nov 3-10 // Nov 10-17 // Nov 17-24)
After Nov 3 you WONT be able to join.
Now, the rules: Each contestant will choose another contestant to Collab with to make their submissions. As a result, there will be an even amount of contestants. But there's a twist, each round you must change who you're paired with--someone already in the contest--and you can't be with the same contestant twice.
How the points will work is; I will rate your track 1/30 and give points depending on three things: Ride, detail, and contestant compatibility. Once your points are announced, the two contestants will split the points 50/50 and find a new partner and get ready for the next round. If you don't understand, I'll give an example:

Lets say Bob and Joe paired for round 1 and made 26 points, they would each get 13 points, with me? And for round 2 Bob found a new partner Alex, who got 14 points last round (But that doesn't matter to Bob) And they make 27 points in round 2, they will each get 13.5 points. Now Bob has 26.5 points and Alex has 27.5 points now.

Ponjoja this sounds really cool! Will the points like exponentially increase or decrease? And how many rounds will there be?

Ok.
After some time, I have a few critiques/constructive criticism.
The swapping teams every round is a neat idea. It gives a chance for lesser known creators to team up with more well known ones. However, it doesn't give opportunity's to make friends with said teammates. Maybe, you can't pick the same teammate on CONSECUTIVE rounds. You could find a really good teammate on round 1, then team up with them on round 3 to steal the show!
That being said, the swapping every round may be good, because it gives a bit of strategy. If you are in a high ranking, you won't want to team with 1st place. If you do well, you get a ton of points, but so does they, maybe costing you the game. It almost forces you to pair up with less talented players, teaching them detail and techniques along the way in order to place high.
Maybe there should be gimmicks between rounds, like I did in my tourney. These could grant extra points, advantages, disadvantages, and more!
Lastly, put at least 1 or 2 days in between each round. That's what I did. We DO need time to cool down between.

Ponjoja another reason I asked for a 2 round intermission between rounds ^ is because we need time to find new teammates.

I honestly like that. Sure, you get different duos every round, but you have to make some major big brain moves in between rounds to figure out everyones scores, everyones skill level, and your current standings to choose the correct duo for the round. That's my kind of intelligence.

 

Sir__Human In addition, this opens up a new path. SABOTAGE. If you know you're not gonna win, your best bet is to team with someone higher up and practically drug them underwater by deliberately doing bad with your teammate as others gain points. They can't really do anything about that. Honestly, I'm so stoked with Ponjoja s thought process on the teaming, this is gonna be insanely fun!

UPDATE​

I was a bit hasty with making this thread and I decided to polish up.

• There will be breaks in-between rounds. Unless there's a change of plans, the rounds will have two day gaps.
• I am a broke-boi so I wont be giving cash prizes, only shout-outs and a free subscriber.
• There will likely be fun twists and challenges throughout this round

I will be keeping note of who joined before Nov 3, so anybody sneaking in after that date will be exterminated.

 

still think it's worth it. I mean, I din't give out prizes. (Prob will next time.)

I assume not. Those 2 day intermissions are the time where people will look for new teammates. Like competitive Fortnite. "LFD" Looking for duo.
