Hey everyone, I've been trying to start up a website that allows you to type in an frhd players name and give you an overall skill score (1-100) by compiling all their ghosting data(using things like ranking leaderboard placements and frequency, number of first places, and leaderboards to points ratio). My problem is that I don't really know how to set this up as a website, since I'm new to coding. If anyone knew how to help or could give me some simple advice that would be great . Have a good day everyone!
e; i know how to make the scripts for it, i just don't know how to compile and clean it up into one interactive website
This sounds cool and all, but this is heavily focused on getting heaps of first-place ghosts on tracks, which doesn't quantify someone's skill level all that well. We have a top 100 ghosters list, updated every 1.5 years, which better ranks players' skills based on placements in contests, official featured ghosts (which are the best ghosts in the game) and analysis of players' ghosts. This concept does seem cool, though, but I would call this something different.
yeah, thats fair. I don't really know which direction ill develop it in, but i agree it is mostly focused on leaderboard ghosts and not the actual quality, since that is very hard to script out and analyze lol. I could probably just make it into an overall stats website, with leaderboards for certain things such as first places, feat ghosts, etc too
heres some data on all the tracks from the past 2 years, as well as user stats and the comments on those tracks if ur interested https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r3HKKBoxW_AjaGQFg5kEMZkmjLTlii8m_M4aYlaYed0/edit?usp=sharing sorry the track data and other stuff is sometimes missing and it doesnt include the exact date and time, im not smart enough to make that work
Forgot this **** existed lmao, thanks for the data I’ll see if I can whip something up after I get home from vacation
