small update: improved my haunted mansion TAS to a 37.90 with a better first slo mo skip as well as much better general optimization

 

Could you TAS the Mario campaign track but route for going through every world instead of taking the teleporter at the start of world 3? Would love to see the entire track played out optimally.

just how optimized can dirt jumping be for such a length

 

last I knew, symantec was working on a new tas for super free rider bros. depending on that status of that I might be able to branch off of it and work on it from there.
1-4 looks like a good track for some insane tas tricks and optimization. would be a tricky one but i'm willing. duly noted

I have thought about doing 100 jumps. it's a long track but shouldn't be too hard to optimize seeing as it's fairly simple. if I can get motivated to start I will do it for sure (would still be a long one to do)

 

somebody needs to stop this guy it's getting ridiculous

 

after some thinking I think for a next big project I am going to work on a tas for Contest Entry by wolfram. This is a super cool, long track with a lot of sick cuts and a very strong record. corn rider on cr uses a much more optimal route (and obviously it has no deaths) but I'm quite confident I can improve upon it significantly this will probably be a several week project so I may stream progress in the discord vc!

 

alright well I have some news. I worked for about 7 hours over the course of yesterday + a bit today to bring you guys something very special. this is without a doubt the most impressive and most insane tas i've ever made and maybe the hardest thing i've ever done in this game.

I bring you:
Contest Entry in 3:05.80

this tas is a prelim/lotad, it is fairly unoptimized and is more a route showcase than a true tas. however, I found some VERY cool cuts and skips to save 3 minutes from the current world record. at some point I will go back and make a much more optimized tas that should go under 3 minutes. but this will do for now enjoy my proudest accomplishment in many months

 

I improved this to a 2:32.83 with a new cut I found

ay thank you, with the addition of the new cut I found this tas is like 9 hours of work and it's not even good! I wanna try and go back and reoptimize for a better time, I think a 2:1x is well within reason

 

that's awesome. I don't even know the ordinary route but there were some pretty cool (and obvious) cuts implemented there.

 

it's quite easy to look around the map and see a lot of track that I just never drove. at bare minimum probably 2/3s of the intended route is completely skipped over with the route I used
