    Hey all!
I am building a PC since I want something other than a 30fps Nintendo switch to play fort on (also I will play AAA games and stuff too lol. it's not solely for Fortnite). I haven't ever built before, and don't know much about pcs. I'm sure at least a few people in the community know more than I do, so if you have any suggestions on edits I should make to my build, feel free to suggest:
    https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SirHuman01/saved/YwBdFT
(the reason I have a 7900 is because my friends were saying to get a 3090. when I looked at gpus, sites said that a 7900 was better than a 3090 [and cheaper too]. also my monitor is 240hz 1440p so I want good frames and stuff)
mostly I am just looking for feedback here and stuff I should change.
thanks to anyone who knows stuff about pcs and comments, I appreciate it :)

Swap that single ram stick out for a 2x16gb. More efficient, faster load times.
6tb hdd is a liittle crazy but not bad since hdd prices are dirt cheap. I've personally never needed more than 2tb. Make sure to buy a 500gb internal solid state drive though. They're a little pricey but you can put your operating system and some important programs on it, and they'll run a lot faster and more smooth.
That motherboard is an extended ATX, making it big af, meaning it won't fit in your tower, which is meant for ATX and smaller. The GPU might be a squeeze in that tower too.

Eli was upset at me for having 2x16 so I switched it out for a 1x32. I'll switch it back
yeah, ik but some games are BIG. might need a good amount of storage
already have a 1tb in the build ;)
noted, I will switch out for a full tower

1x32 is for future proofing. I mean just go 2x32 for saving both issues

I did state pc part picker will tell you about compatibility for board types with your CPU and of the GPU will fit

here ftr is talking about the tower (case). I had a mid tower previously, which ftr said might be a bit small, so I switched for a full tower

    I'm blind I didn't notice the ssd
And yea 32gb ram is cool but not on one stick. Always go for two, wether you get 2x16 or 2x32.

    a few edits made today:
*changed the mobo since a few people outside of this community said the one I had in there wasn't necessary
    *changed the 1x32 to a 2x32
*changed the 1000w power supply to an 850w (since I probably won't need 1000)
    *changed the CPU cooler

the same link from the top post will still work

    a few significant changes:
    *changed the mobo (again)
*switched the 7900 xtx to an xt to save ~300 USD
    and less significant:
    *changed the cooler
    *changed the case

yeah it doesn't really matter too much, I originally had a 1000W PSU in the build but realized it was very unnecessary so went with an 850

This guide completely carried me when I was building My pc man. I'm honestly still surprised I got the thing to work.

I will! I also planned on inviting some friends over to help so that instead of one idiot building there would be like three

hi so I haven't talked here in a bit and boy oh boy has stuff happened since.
    - tried to build back in September. almost instantly found an issue that my cooler was too big (even though PCPP said it would work).
    - talked to Arctic, they agreed to change my cooler for a smaller one which I received today.
    - tried to build again about 3 hours ago, failed once again due to my motherboard and aio being too big combined to fit in the case.
    - currently in contact with SAMA to figure out a solution. hopefully they either refund me or give me a bigger case.

so uh yeah. everything else is bought and in my room and also I did end up going with the 7900xtx so yeah that's cool. idk man this is so frustrating for me cause it's been like a month and a half since I should have had this thing done and running, I really hope it's not going to take me until fkn 2030 before this thing gets built.
