done a quick mix on both songs so this is the stage before mastering at the studio. any feedback welcome, always good to have a 2nd pair of ears

 

listening on laptop speakers, but Roll On sounds so good. love how the two guitars work together, with one so smooth and the other quick and hitting those highs. and So The Story Goes kills. the little dip at 2:41 and the shredding right after, absolutely rocks. I didn't expect it to end there though! felt like it could go on longer, definitely left me wanting more.

great stuff overall man, can't wait for the album, I know it'll be great.

 

thanks man i appreciate the good feedback! to my ears Roll On can be a little ear-piercing at times with some of the high notes so i'll address that with some EQ. i might look at the bass too, gets a bit lost in the mix

glad you caught that cheeky dip at 2.41 in So The Story Goes i basically cut the drums for second and let some harmonics ring out on the guitar, simple but effective

i'll post updates gradually once there's some progress with studio time and album artwork etc
