I have no idea why I'm doing this I guess I'm just curious if other people use the same finger positionings as I do. Also for people who spacebar, I'll put a poll for which finger you spacebar with lol.
Me personally, with my right hand, I use my middle finger for up arrow, ring finger for right arrow, pointer finger for left arrow, and pointer finger for down arrow. For my left hand, I use my pointer finger to spacebar, and middle finger for the S key in case I am pressing left and down or right and down at the same time.
As a nsb player, I use my right hand for the arrow keys. I have my thumb to control left and right keys and pointer finger for up and down. I then use my pointer finger on my left hand to press z.
I just tried it out and I can't ghost at all, how do you ghost that way? Is it normal? I use the same layout in another game and it passed over into frhd
Jesus idk how you ghost like that, switching between right and left is awful, and especially since you don't spacebar that's crazy lol
idk it seemed normal to me because you are able to spread all your fingers out evenly, except for brake which is the least used out of them
I use left thumb/right index finger when using wasd. When using arrow keys, i use left thumb. Sometimes i spacebar, sometimes i don't.
It isn't like I'm doing complex inputs for tubes or anything, and I'm SOOO used to the way I ghost, it feels so normal. But switching between left and right is comfortable my way, when I used your way, I keep on accidentally pressing left or right and I can't switch smoothly. I swear if people ghost in other ways too, they are all wrong. But I know that is what is best for people and comfortable, but there is no way that people ghost in so many different ways. Let me put a hand cam when I get back home from school and then I will show you me ghosting a simple track and then you will understand how my way works for nsb.
Cool. I'll also try to film something lol. Also, what time zone are you in? Because I got out of school like 6 hours ago lol
Cool! I didn't know you were from Australia lol, guess I don't know how to read your profile. I'm in EST (Eastern Standarn Time) somewhere in Ohio, the worst state in the US lol. its 8:41 pm for me rn
I knew you were in Ohio, BUT HOW THE FLIP DID YOU NOT KNOW I WAS FROM AUSTRALIA?!?! Most people know..... well no big deal, now you know.....
Normal fingers you'd expect on the arrow keys, middle, pointer, and ring for the arrows as for spacebarring, I usually use middle and pointer finger at the same time, I just helps me pause much faster, it's much more consistent for me and helps me get .07's consistently, sometimes .03's if I try, getting them more often now If I'm trying to press brake, I'll use my left ring finger, or if I'm just pressing z, I'll useless ring finger If I do both brake and z at the same time, I use left ring finger on z, left middle finger on brake (context, brake is the s key for me) I also use the number pad for ghosting, since my keyboard won't allow for multiple arrow key inputs bit of a long answer ik
These are the ones i use on wasd: W and S: left middle finger A: left ring finger D: left index finger Z: left thumb spacebar: mostly right index finger R: right/left index finger V: left thumb/right index finger These are the ones i use on arrows: Up and down: right middle finger left: right index finger right: right ring finger Z: left ring finger spacebar: left thumb R: right index finger V: left thumb
