I tried doing stuff with the bg, but the outer space theme really limited a lot I could do with this track. For example everything had to be rock so grass and trees couldn't be used to fill up the track and make it look a lot more detailed. For the background the theme was even harder because I couldn't just draw the usual clouds. Outer space is really just a massive black bunch of nothing, apart from a few stars. I added in the planet so that I would have something, but other than stars and a few meteors I couldn't really do anything about the background. I found it impossible to draw gasclouds or stuff like that in a convincing way, so the BG ended up the way it is right now. Also, for the background, I wanted the middle of the track to be in contrast with the sides, by making the sides crouded with rocks and really full and by making the middle of the track like a big empty desert, with a main structure in the middle as the center of the track. That's why the background isn't that crowded.
Space is a terrible theme, it's technically an anything theme. Unless your track's theme is void. then it's in space, technically.
