Maple I got this one a year an a half ago
    http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Bamboo-Capture-Tablet-CTH470/dp/B005HGBEZ2
I like it a lot, I've never had problems with the actual tablet, but I have had to get a new cord which was no problem.
EasternBiker I have been battling with this a lot too. I think the ride is very important. Even if you are focusing on detail, you can't really enjoy the track as well if you can't ride it. It is really hard to make a smooth ride in a natural looking environment without making it look unnatural.
Also Cataclysm I'm sorry but its really killing me. I try not to ask, but can I get a link to the picture of what you did with your new tablet?

Here is an amazing idea. Draw a picture first, then draw a track over it.

I'm trying to develop my own style. It's really hard for me. Does this start of a tree look good. I tried to use a reference. I also used tips from @Mapel in trying to make the bark look vertical. Any tips / cc?

It looks fine, try not using brush for such important detail. The foliage is a bit strange, sorta looks like it's exploding.

Practice using the grid. Start with just doing squares and rectangles and then try some ramps.

Here is one of my 3D tracks, Its really easy to make with the grid feature

    1. Angle of lines can alter shape.
    2. Use shadows(cast shadows and overlapping can create depth). Imagine a light source. Areas receiving less light will be darker than areas receiving light.
    3. Use lines to draw out shapes; turn 2d into 3d. 2d rock is essentially a oval, add some lines it becomes a cylinder.
@ TiMartin1069 and others. A lot of these things is just perceiving and figuring out on your own but here are things to keep in mind.
edit: Further away things are the less detailed they become. You can direct someone's focus by "blurring" the unnecessary and detailing what is essential(things you want ppl to focus on).

Does anyone have an idea where I could get some good jungle background reference. I've tried to find some and haven't gotten very far. I've tried alter my pine tree background but it never really works to the same effect
