I just feel the arguments in this thread should eventually have a solution, and that's pretty much impossible when arguing with opinions, especially when there nearly is no right/wrong.
Unless the thread's for endless arguments

I can see the reasoning behind this, but even if you are defeated with facts and evidence are you that likely to change your opinion? Maybe, maybe not. Impossible to tell. That's why arguing directly to opinions happens, because, in most cases, facts aren't what we're fighting over. We're fighting over who's "right" and "wrong." The solution to most arguments is when the two people most active just stop arguing and the thread moves on. Most endless arguments won't happen because most people don't have the patience to fight about something for a long time when they can see the other side has no intent of changing its opinion.

As I already said I feel like political views shouldn’t define who we are and of course no one should change their views on you.

I hate to be so picky not really don't believe a word I say but political views can't define who you are, they are defined by who you are. If you believe something, it's because you think it's true, hopefully not because the guy in charge of your party told you so. We choose our political parties because of our views. Hypothetically, say you are a Republican. And you're pro-life. You shouldn't be pro-life because you're a Republican, even though that's something that most Republicans stand for. Hypothetically you join the Republican party because you're pro-life.

    Evidence pls

Poll workers refusing to be inspected?
    No ID required?
    Dead ppl voting?
Shipment of Biden votes in the night?
    Insecure mail-in ballots?
-I’m sure I could find ppl who flip-flopped on the security aspect of this
    Refusal to recount?

Ppl should be pro-life because abortion is murder for the sake of convenience. Everyone who supports abortion has already been born. You can’t really judge early America for the dark spot in history of slavery when you are currently supporting the murder of completely innocent babies. Any lines you draw with abortion are arbitrary. The baby is human the entire time. And calling abortion “healthcare” is ridiculous. I can understand not wanting that baby but that’s not an adequate reason to murder.

I’m not arguing with you; I just hate abortion.

no, no. I was walking through a hypothetical. I too am pro-life, but I was trying to illustrate the ridiculousness of what AfterImage said. I was saying being pro-life shouldn't be determined by who's in charge of your party, it should be determined by your values. Then those values should lead you to a party which most aligns with them. Beliefs shouldn't make who you are, they should be made by who you are. Your views influence many of your actions, but they don't make you "good" or bad." "Good" or "bad" people have "good" or "bad" views. Not the best example but I just woke up so I'm trying my best here.

No no no dude first of all I’m pro life and I don’t believe that we should vote for someone in office by what political party they are a member of, we should judge it by what kind of person they are and what kind of things they are going to do. I’m neither democrat nor republican but I lean more towards republicans than democrats. But either way it shouldn’t matter.

And like I said I hate Biden and trump but Biden is better. Not good, just better. Idk why you guys think that I am supporting everything that Biden is doing because I’m not. I’m just saying that at the end of trumps presidency trump was worse. He refused to call and congratulate Biden on winning the election, something that even Hillary did. It’s something that every President for a long time has done. And the reason trump was attempted impeachment after his term is because impeachment makes it so someone cant run again. And yes, it is perfectly legal to do this. Their was no attack that trump explicitly said, he said we are going to go up and “cheer on the people we like, and don’t for the people we don’t” there is a reason why the capitol was shut down after that to visitors, because while trump can weasel his way out of that by saying what happened wasn’t his intent I hope that y’all can see that he obviously meant for more than cheering to happen. The people with him tried to stop the election. This is what undermines democracy. What trump can’t see is that not everything is about him. And that is why I believe he shouldn’t be President.

Republicans are now too far right, and democrats too far left. Both are extreme and I feel like currently they are too extreme. People hate each other based off of what political party they prefer and I feel like that is a problem. While there has always been dislike and some hate in the past ten years it has gotten a lot worse. I don’t agree with this.

I agree completely. 99.999999% of the time abortion is totally and completely wrong. There are few very rare instances, such as if the parent has been doing drugs while the baby was developing where it would be kinder to do it then but yes it is still murder and I believe at that point the parent shouldn’t be having sex and it was a problem that they were attempting to have a child in the first place.

But when do we make the distinction between this baby is going to have a rough life and now we should kill it to make its life easier? It's never okay to decide you have the right to kill someone just because you think that their life is going to be so bad that it would be better for them to die. The person making this decision is still ending a human life, no matter how small. It is not kinder to kill a baby then to let it live. And even if it were, which it isn't, it wouldn't be our decision to make!

I meant instances, examples of behavior seen throughout all Republicans, not just the last republican president. Trump doesn't govern the Republican party. He doesn't control the actions of everyone who voted for him. He was just a crazy president.

No no you misunderstand. At this point the baby is probably going to be a stillbirth and o agree that it shouldn’t be our decision to make and I believe that abortion shouldn’t exist and the baby shouldn’t be conceived in the first place. The beauty that is creating a life should not be tarnished by people going Willy nilly and having abortions whenever birth control doesn’t work. This is stupid.
