I can't tell if you were joking or not but, I find that funny because it really does apply (in my area anyway) to the city you live in. Any time the question was brought up when I was in high school, everyone would say they hated the city we live in (not gonna be specific here lol). Growing up, it's really not that bad like everyone made it sound. Most of us were just too lazy or unobservant to notice what there is to do around here because we feel very "been there, done that" about the city we have been seeing out our parent's car window our whole lives (unless they moved here recently or move often, in which case they probably didn't hate it here). That's the way I think I felt about it anyway.

I'm interested to see how anyone does or doesn't relate to this.

 

i live in...not the best city. Actually, not the best state either. Not everyone here complains about it, but I can still relate to this because occasionally all the adults will get together to complain about the city. Not organized or anything...We have the worst schools in the nation, our governor is famous for doing some sketchy stuff with tax money, and we have homeless people doin drugs on most big street medians. Not to say that we are the only city that has this problem, just that I feel like we as humans like to find excuses around us for subpar...anything. We aren't fixing problems in the city so we blame it on people coming in from big cities around us or the government (which does kinda suck btw). Now, there is a problem in the city with a lack of activities because most people who live here are very traditional, so new businesses and stuff have to expand on the outskirts of town because downtown is protected by a thousand laws regulating what color you can or can't paint your house or how high your fence can be, stuff like that. Not saying those things are bad, I'm just saying the city could do a lot better of a job encouraging growth.

 

Achem. As it seems there will be no end to this conflict, AfterImage, I challenge you to an argument duel!
We will agree on an appropriate, non-political argument, one that can be easily defended from two sides.
There will have to be a moderator of some kind to determine who is the victor after you and I have presented out cases. Whoever is the winner will come away with bragging rights. Loser has...to detail the winner's next track? Hopefully this will keep us occupied for a bit instead of causing trouble on other threads....

 

Nah it’s fine dude . Just cause you believe that I’m not gonna judge you. If you wanna argue that’s fine, but I’m going to say this. Trump always leaves enough room in what he says to weasel out of it, he should have been impeached for telling people to storm the capitol, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t do good things. Just saying that at the end of his presidency he was doing bad things. Germany was overthrown in one night by people who blindly followed H*tler. The only people that disagreed in him becoming chancellor were the people who were most educated. I’m not saying that Biden is good, just better, and that both candidates are bad. My point is that people blindly follow trump and always argue towards him no matter what, and I feel like this undermines the point of democracy. Don’t bring Fauci and other people into this unnecessarily, and however you feel that’s fine, but my stance on trump is probably not going to change. This doesn’t mean I don’t recognize when I’m wrong, and I accept that some of my accusations may be false. I don’t want either of us to hate each other because of political views.

Oh yeah, and by how mad people were when he lost I am also going to say it would be best if he never runs in the future. While I am worried what he will do if he wins, I am worried more what he (and his supporters) will do when/if he loses. And yes, I compared trump to a nazi. Deal with it.

 

Honestly it’s sad that Americans believe this, because while America isn’t great now we aren’t only defined by the present, we are also defined by our past. We won the Cold War. We literally have never set out to become one of the major powers in the world and ended up doing it. If you like books I would recommend “the accidental superpower “ very telling about what happened and why. Good day to you and happy new year.

Biden isn't cognitively there, shouldn't be president. Whether you like trump or not, americans were more free under him. We weren't threatened with our lives essentially being destroyed if we don't want to take a vaccine (which is experimental and unlike any vaccine created before). We were energy independent apparently, which the news never reported on. And I think we even added a space force to the military which was also never talked about on the news. All Biden does if he does anything is go with the flow. He was completely against gay marriage and even racial integration if you actually do research on him. He lies all the time. As far as I know, Trump never ordered an "attack" on the capitol. And he was attempted to be impeached after he was president which makes zero sense. You're supposed to impeach presidents who are presidents. Inflation is now through the roof under Biden. I heard we are not energy independent anymore. Biden completely failed leaving tons of Americans in Afghanistan to die and proceeded to not care. He fell asleep at a climate conference which is apparently so important to him. He checked his watch in a memorial service for soldiers from Afghanistan I believe (there's proof). The guy doesn't even know what let's go brandon means. Someone told him that and he said yeah I agree, showing he is completely not mentally there. He refused to take a cognitive test before being president (what is there to be afraid of if you would pass?). He refused to give his opinion on court packing before the election started. He has gotten rid of tons of jobs that were associated with oil. He called someone asking him a question full of sh*t. He hardly ever answers questions to the press and trump had to deal with like the most aggressive press ever. If you compare the two over racism, do some research and realize if anything Biden is the racist instead of blindly believing what the news tells you. Yeah ppl could blindly follow trump too but how about we all use our brains okay? I find it crazy that trump is compared to hitler. I heard a college student say trump is WORSE than hitler which is basically insanity if you ask me. And Biden held some conference thing about clean energy cars and DIDN'T INVITE TESLA. Is he being paid by these other car companies? How is it that him and other politicians have all this money without earning it outside politics? Trump earned it outside of politics (please don't bring up inheritance I don't really care at least that is outside of politics and not fraudulent).. That's why people like trump, because he isn't controlled by anyone and is a breath of fresh air to a lot of people believe it or not. Biden called trump xenophobic for closing borders and then did the same thing if I remember correctly. There were numerous stories of election fraud. There was some place were tons of biden votes were shipped in at one point in the middle of the night if I remember correctly. I saw poll workers REFUSING to be inspected by independent inspectors. He has "received" more votes than any president in history. Meanwhile, Youtube had to remove the dislike count I'm assuming because the white house videos have so many dislikes under biden that it's pathetic. The entire Biden administration was against mask & vaccine mandates (do your research guys) and then completely flip-flopped. America is starting to look like a dictatorship and ppl blindly don't care and are becoming so afraid of covid that they will do anything the government tells them to and then some and sacrifice their freedom in the process. I am just getting over covid now. It's a one week flu for a 19-year-old. I don't even care. I'm living my life and I'm gonna attempt to have my life ruined by the U.S. government to the smallest extent possible.

You don't have to respect my opinion on this, but I completely disagree. Let me ask you a question. Are you this hostile toward Mohammed? And if not, please explain why. Movies and products will be forgotten about quite quickly. Jesus has not been forgotten about for 2000 years. So you believe he is mentally ill, I see. As far as I can see, the only options for who he is are: Lord, liar, or lunatic. I see that you've gone with the lunatic option. If you look into it, there are many prophecies written in ancient Jewish times that Jesus fulfilled. Also let me ask another question. Is any other religion a cult? Or do you just have a problem with Jesus? We all worship something, whether it's us or our girlfriend/boyfriend or whatever. I choose to worship Jesus. I may sound ridiculous now, but how confident will you be about your beliefs on your deathbed? If you will be totally confident, okay then. I am not really confused as to why you are so hostile to Christianity but maybe you can explain it in your own words. I hope you had a good Christmas.

 

If you judge Christians by the crusades, that's the same logic as judging Muslims for terrorist attacks.

While I agree, religion and politics are mostly opinion-related. Your religion is generally dictated by your opinions, as is your political party of choice.

 

People always like to make fun of this game. But we’re on it. Is it wrong to argue with things written in an argument thread?
