my only question is how its scored when one person doesnt make a ghost

if one person doesnt ghost their ghost counts as the other persons ghost +10 seconds

this is rule number 4: 4. if your partner fails to make a ghost, then the slowest ghost of the round +10 seconds will be your partner's time.
the slowest time of the round was Nitrogeneric with 56 minutes.

theres no real standard as to "actual attempt". sorry that rule won't change.

i dont think just sitting at the start is really an actually attempt .... it looked like nitro just had something to do and left the time running

not that it would make much of a difference since i didnt do too well but it would be nice if the slowest wasnt just 50+ minutes of someone sitting around but rather a ghost that someone actually tried at (and tried for the whole thing)

 

isn't the point of the contest to, y'know, ghost the track every time? if there's a massive (essentially insurmountable) penalty for not ghosting, that seems perfectly in line with the spirit of the contest and adds an additional incentive for everyone to at least produce some sort of ghost every round.
plus, it's up to each competitior how they wish to approach the competition, so if oxygeneric and overnightexpress wish to go after our hearts (and our lifespans), rather than meaningless internet points, it's their decision to make.
