Contest Remix Contest 3 - Legacy Thread

Introduction

Welcome to the 3rd Remix Contest. Those of you within the new generation of players may be confused by this and wonder "shouldn't this be the 2nd?". Well, no. JacobCahoon's rendition of the Remix Contest was inspired by my contest in the past era of Free Rider, which had two successful runs. However, this version is a little different than Jacob's and will stay in the same vein as those before it. In the past, this contest has been done by using popular tracks and manipulating them to the author's own style, therefore "remixed".

Rules

~There will be 3 two week rounds and 1 one week practice round (before the contest commences)
~It is mandatory all entries be posted on frhd
~You will be private messaged 4 versions of the given track:

1. Original: containing no edits to the original track
2. Bones: edited to contain only conceptual detail
3. Track Only: edited to contain only the playable track

~To enter just say "I'm in", etc

Tips and Notes

To effectively remix a track a personal spin must be taken on it, this can be done by altering detail, altering the track, extending, changing the concept, etc while still keeping some of the original's feel. To people who have never participated before I strongly recommend doing the Practice Round, which will be open later as soon as I finish editing these tracks. Think of the track as yours not someone else's. The 1st round will be a smidgen longer than the rest because I plan for the contest to begin at New Year's midnight (Jan. 1st).

Practice Round

I suggest taking part in this to everyone who has not had this experience before. The track I chose for this round is Tsunami 003 by SundayAfternoon, which was really a track by Tsunami in the Canvas Rider track making collective Sunday Afternoon. I feel this track is so fun while being such a blank template, that people would be like "this would be cool in it" and be inspired to make the additions they want. That given, it is necessary to modify the track to fit your own style which ever way you chose. Ride it a few times and think of ways you can change the difficulty, change the direction of the track, change the concept of the track by addition of detail or changing the way the track is built.
