can someone drop some advice on how to draw rocks? They always so simple when I draw them... examples: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/822690-nope
hey guys, this is a WIP, I was wondering if I could get tips and tricks to make it look more natural. without changing the style
In this area, it looks like the detail just ended, rather than transitioning out. Maybe you could do something below the line?
don't use brush, break specific items down into shapes of themselves and work from there. detailing from the outside in doesn't make things look like they're real. going to a park or something that has some bigger exposed rocks/trees/whatevers and look at how the grains of a single rock interact and connect. try to make textures, not just shading in the dark parts e; oh and starting with grey lines and building the black over that simplifies things for me, since the grey blends a little easier
Maple You think this could be added to the first post under advice from community members, or no? https://community.freeriderhd.com/threads/reference-drawing-for-beginners.13426/#post-303477
