So this is my W.I.P for the STC (Subterranean Trackmaking Contest):

However, I need something to put where there is "dirt" underground (in the empty space, in case you couldn't tell). Does anybody have any tips?

what does dirt look like? answer that question and draw what you come up with

 

No offense, but a. you shouldn't even be trying to give me advice in the first place, since I don't believe you have ever had this problem or even tried to draw dirt, but maybe you have and I have no idea, but b. You know full well your advice isn't helping, so please let someone who can actually help assist me.
