We got a cool donation from a_drain, that has Pro. We are still discussing some details about the distribution, to hopefully give the prizes today or tomorrow, but the total pot is going to be around 78.000 coins. We will have normal prizes and some bonus prizes as well. I'll update you guys on all of that as soon as we decide the final details.

 

Hey, guys what's up? I honestly thought we wouldn't have coin prizes, but just like the previous years, things usually come up last minute for that and I'm happy they do. Thanks to a_drain, we got a really good pot for our coin prizes. He's donating exactly 78.050 coins for the contest and I'll show in this post how we are distributing it. We'll have another post following this one with my traditional Bonus Prizes, so look forward to that as well.

Also, Apocolypse's Xbox Gift Card didn't really work outside Canada, so he's giving 50 USD to mudkip via PayPal. What a legendary prize! The whole cash prize for last year was of 40 USD, so this one takes the cake for the best cash prize for a ghosting contest in this game. Really crazy! Thanks again, Apocolypse!

"The Hitmaker" Bonus - Prize for SCrane that made the most popular track of the contest. This guy is on fire lately. Posting an insane amount of tracks, with all of them being good. His participation in the contest wasn't different, and seeing the track stats and the results of the survey, this track was one that most people loved, so here is 300 more coins for SCrane. "Freshman, Who?" Bonus - This is the prize for Giampitek that did amazing in the contest, having some memorable wins, like against Zycerak and Uniior. I don't think he's the most experienced in ghosting contests, but he showed us a great potential and I'm looking forward to see him in future editions! Amazing job, man! 200 bonus coins for you. "The Tireless Warrior" Bonus - This is a very deserving prize for BoostButt, that didn't advance in the Group Stage, despite having the 4th best Combined Time from the Group Stage (and possibly the 2nd or 3rd best combined time overall at that point). He kept killing it on the Losers Championship, beat Pie42, Zycerak, spruce, Giampitek, RedOrBlue, Chaos-Fallen and Cerulean and became the 3rd place in the contest, just like Madara did last year. Insane effort, for a guy that I believe that could be included in the 2 prizes above, but that I think that deserved one of his own as well. 400 bonus coins for you. (400 coins from the pot)

"Hall of the Underdogs of Honor" Bonus - This is the 3rd time I'm doing this prize, lol. This is the one for the people that might have been underestimated, but did great in the contest. 300 coins for Coated_Badger, that entered the Group Stage as a replacement and ended up making it to the Round of 16, 250 coins for RadiumRC beating Madara in the Losers Championship and also for finishing 11th place overall, and also 150 coins for Apocolypse for great performance and 14th place overall. (700 coins from the pot)

"You Know Nothing, FRHD Community" Bonus - This is a bonus prize for the winners of the matches where the polls got it so wrong that it was funny. This is only for the really unexpected ones with insane differences on the votes in the polls. DrChill gets 250 coins for his clean victory over Stevie.T by 0.07 second, when the poll was 21-0 against him. Giampitek takes 200 coins for his last minute win over Zycerak, after a 19-2 against him in the poll. Cerulean/Sharkfin takes 250 coins for his win against RedOrBlue after a crazy 29-0 against him in the poll. There were some other upsets, but none as crazy as those in the polls. "Feature Worthy" Bonus - This is a 200 coins prize for the players that got featured ghosts or tracks for their contributions in the contest. So 200 coins for SilentFinger, Apocolypse, Fluffysmack, Logeton, Chaos-Fallen and spruce. Well done, guys! (1.200 coins from the pot)

"The Return of the Master" Bonus - This is the prize for Backtwice, for his epic comeback to the game and for this contest. He wasn't active at all lately, but then came in, dropped some featured ghosts and did an awesome performance in the contest. Had memorable wins over DrChill and Cerulean, and did great overall. Disappointed a bit in the end, not ghosting the track, but takes home a great second place medal, showing that he still can be competitive in this game if he wants. 300 coins for him. "Mudkip, First of His Name" Bonus - This is it. The legends were true. The Tale of the Chosen One said that one day the divine ZPresley would send someone to end the Finnish Dynasty and take the control of the FRHD ghosting world again. The Guild of Ghosters from Finland sent Backtwice to take the crown again, when Anonyymi couldn't come this time and they thought they would get it. I feel like even we thought they would get it. But they didn't. Mudkip didn't really show his true power until the end, and then, with all the stars aligned, the combination between the timezones, the track, Backtwice's personal tactics and round length made Backtwice not be able to finish the track in time and crowned mudkip the champion. The new king, "Mudkip, First of His Name", the one that dethroned the Finnish Dynasty. Congrats, man! 400 bonus coins for mudkip. (400 coins from the pot)

Thanks everyone for joining and helping making this a great contest. I'm reading all of the feedback on the survey and most of it is being interesting, I'm glad most people liked the contest overall. There's some points to improve of course, but for the time we had to organize this, I feel like we did great. We ended up having cash prizes, coin prizes and medals, so I feel like the prizes were great after all. See you guys in the next one!​

 

LOL, I thought about it, but didn't know exactly how it would work and who was the player I should give it to, lol. So I ended up not including it. It was a fun idea, though.
