I don't know how (or if) the other judges will time the entries, but personally I'm running through the ghost 5 times with a stopwatch then taking an average
RubeGoldberger damn that’s a clean ghost I actually thought it was going to be under 36 but apparently not
RubeGoldberger just timed it and you have a time of 0:38.84, compared to wano's time of 0:37.59 he is 1.25 seconds faster.
this is real time, not game time, so I'm measuring how long the video takes. You can see that the game timer in the video isn't exactly measuring time in accurate seconds because if you pause the video and advance by 5 seconds (which can be done by pressing the right arrow key) the game timer doesn't advance by 5 seconds, instead by about 4.8 seconds. This means that irl time to beat the track is longer than game time.
how can a person make sure that the game time matches up with real time? (or is that irrelevant for the purposes of this thread?)
As long as the timing method is consistent between judgement of all submissions, it is irrelevant whether or not it matches game time. All that matters is the relative times between submissions. Meaning if player A is faster than player B, that will also be reflected by the game time, even though it won't exactly match cctv's timer. edit: that is assuming neither player spacebarred... forgot about that lol
yes, you can also see here that wano got a game time of 36.27, compared to rube's in-game time of 36.53, and also considering that neither person spacebarred or reset, it was obvious already that wano was faster
I should've payed attention to the numbers lmao. I was overthinking things since you use a seperate timer and all that lol.
rube you can save storage by using like 'instant replay' (on radeon software) which when you press the button it'll save the last 2, 5 etc minutes of gameplay) real ez.
That could be significantly exploited if a person were to use FPS slowers. If I can slow the game speed down by 50% but it counts as in-game time, I can cheat the system pretty hard.
thanks! but my laptop uses intel UHD integrated graphics, so I can't use that. Also I want to save my attempts in case there is a dispute for whatever reason. It's alright though, I figured out how to free up plenty of space.
