Madara If there ends up being a 2nd tournament, could I invite people from outside frhd?

 

honestly, i have no idea lol. i mean it is called frhd chess championship. so it makes sense that only frhd players join. but honestly, i don't mind other players as well. if this one becomes a success then i dont see why not. we'll discuss this when our 2nd tournament starts lol. its 50/50 for me. we'll see what happens.

 

all matchups and tournament bracket in the first page is now available. ROUND 1 STARTS ON NOVEMBER 21ST AT 1 PM EST. all of you signed and should know that this will take time so i hope everyone respects what they signed up for and be there when it's time for your match. we will try to finish this as soon as we can so the first 3 rounds will be on the 21st which will most likely take a few hours to complete. and semi-finals and finals will be held on the 22nd. same time. some of you will not have a 1st round tho and start from round 2. because we are 20 participants the bracket is kinda weird but it was all chosen randomly.
i hope everyone has alot of fun and be online in discord for the live stream and commentary. we will have fun. we will put 1 hour for each match to finish and 30 minutes rest then the next round starts. which means the second round starts at 2:30 pm est. look at the main post to see the matches.
games 1-8 is the first round.

Madara Will there be a way to spectate each game? I would want to watch some matches.

 

I and octo will try to stream all the games and provide commentary on discord. but if you didnt like that you can always watch the games on chess.com. but you have to be friends with one of the players in order to spectate the game.

 

Madara just to make 100% sure, if the first round starts 1PM EST, that makes it ... 10AM PST? (I live in CA)
