spammers interrupt chat sure, but people can ignore them and they generally stop and learn about forum etiquette themselves.
Complaining about spamming, and having lengthy arguments about it, is a form of spam in itself, and contributes next to nothing in the end usually.

 

This IS the argument thread, where we can quarrel back and forth without taking up space in a different thread.

No. Because of the Uncertainity principle we can't say we live in a completly deterministic world, but alone the fact that you exist is something everything that happended in the past let to. And I mean nearly EVERYTHING! Each interaction between atoms, each wave, each catastrophe and each minimal change in the far past led to the creation of you. So you definitly SHOULD LIVE!

 

huh? the uncertainity principle tells us that we can't have definite values for particle's position or momentum in the framework of quantum theory but it doesn't rule out hidden-variable theories, which would make everything fully deterministic.

speaking of coronavirus, the projections that forced economic shutdown were so egregiously wrong that everyone involved should lose their jobs. Divorce is up, domestic abuse is up, a seriously troubling amount of mental illness diagnoses are taking place, and in some areas suicide is killing more than the virus. As of now we know enough about the virus and it’s very low mortality rate that every economy should be 100% opened up and those who are worried about it or have a comorbidity should self isolate.
