Before his campaign even started, there were many more incidents, including his claim that (at the time) president Barack Obama was not born in the US. He had no evidence to back up his claim.
Don't want to get involved with this argument about American politics between a guy from Finland and an 11 year old Mexican on an online bike game forum, but I suppose by posting this its too late.

and for the other thing, even if there's truth to it i think it's still racist because he paints a picture that they're shitholes in their own right and on their own accord, instead of being shitholes directly because of us/chinese imperialism lol. cons love telling you that it's your fault that you're poor and i think that's the sentiment he had when referring to those countries as such

racism in trump's admin/agenda is kinda hard to pinpoint because they find ways to express tiny little bits of racist values and viewpoints that not only go over your head but slowly seep into your head over long periods of time. short lil thought bits like "what's their criminal record like?" when reporting on murder of a POC as contrasted to "look at how wonderful and cool this child was" when it's the other way around despite the fact that said POC has most likely already been arrested and imprisoned unlike the perpetrator in 99% of examples of the former situation

and not to mention the ultra-nationalist sentiment that makes you doubt virtually any person who's different than/worse off than your average white, middle-class american: the sentiments that homeless people are dangerous/drug addicts/criminals, black/brown/hispanic people are dangerous/drug addicts/criminals, poor people are dangerous/drug addicts/criminals etc. are all ones that get fervently pushed in just about any news story on those topics and it's a very clever way to levy the pressure and blame back onto those who are already marginalized despite the fact that this fraudulent economic system has most likely created that situation for them. in our lifetimes do you think we'll actually ever hear trump, biden, any of their co-workers, or any of their partisan puppets ask the REAL questions? like why these people's communities are poverty-stricken? WHY the murder and crime rates are higher? will they ever get a single american to think about the socio-political inequality that exists and leads this to happen in our country? will they ever get a single american to think about WHO is running this system and why it's so shitty? or will they just continue to bounce the blame back as always?

same thing was seen in bush's administration since iraq wouldn't have gotten nearly as many good cinematic reviews had they not painted the picture of iraq being a bunch of deadly terrorists instead of poor families in huts. lots of these have always really just been problems with our country and its foundation. trump is a symptom and not a cause.
